* AluminumChristmasTrees: No vesps of course, but [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Movile_Cave Movile Cave]] in Romania was cut off from the outside world for millions of years, and has developed a thriving ecosystem entirely different from that on the surface.
* CompleteMonster: [[DarkMessiah The Reverend]] is the leader of [[{{Cult}} the Hushed]] where he removes the tongues of his followers, [[WouldHurtAChild children included]], and would have [[TheSwarm the Vesps]] kill any who refuses to join. Noticing Ally Andrews, the Reverend plans to make Ally his BreedingSlave to populate the world, and when she refuses to join he sends a little girl to Ally's home attaching loud phones onto her to attract the Vesps and have them kill Ally's family and the girl while having his followers kidnap Ally.
* NightmareFuel: One particular death scene sticks out in the movie revolving around an elderly woman who believes the family is trespassing on her property. Due to not staying silent, she is immediately set upon by the vesps, who swarm around her and lift her up into the air (with one of the vesps claws digging into her eye sockets in a blink and you'll miss it moment), and drop her into a well, where they proceed to eat her alive.
* OneSceneWonder: a MamaBear who is seen on the news, having sent in a video of herself hiding in a car as some of the creatures move around outside, having gagged her children to keep them quiet and, trembling, holding up a sign saying not to make noise around the monster.
* TheyCopiedItSoItSucks: One of the biggest criticisms of the film is that it's basically a much inferior version of ''Film/AQuietPlace'', to the point that Website/{{Wikipedia}} even has [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Silence_(2019_film)#Comparison_to_A_Quiet_Place its own section]] for it. It should be noted that the source novel at least was written and published before ''A Quiet Place'' came out.
