1* AlternateAesopInterpretation: Is the film a scathing criticism of how [[FirstWorldProblems middle class life forces people into rigid societal roles that then can never emotionally break out of]], or an even harsher criticism of middle class people who are [[PrettyFlyForAWhiteGuy so privileged that they believe being a minority is liberating]]? Both? Neither?
2* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: The Spazzers. While they're explicitly stated to be faking disability to amuse themselves, are they meant to satirize the negative societal effects of neurotypical people making broad assumptions about mentally disabled people and appropriating what they ''think'' is their normal behavior or do we admire their bravery to defy the rigid standards of upper-middle-class life even when we're horribly offended by how they do so?
3* CrossesTheLineTwice: Continuously. ''Especially'' when showing Paprika Steen the house.
4* ValuesDissonance: {{Deliberate|ValuesDissonance}} or otherwise, you wouldn't see any movie made after TheNewTens which so liberally uses words like "retard" or "spazzer," both of which are considered far more offensive now than they were in 1998.
