* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic:
** "Move 'Em Out!", the '70s funk song heard in the club.
** The Asian-flavored score during the chase/warehouse scene at the end. It was so catchy that ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy'' used it decades later in the episode "Breaking Out is Hard to Do".
* FranchiseOriginalSin: It's considered the last good movie of the franchise, but several of the problems of the next sequels already exist here: questionable running jokes, offensive racial stereotypes, slow pacing and exaggerated plots. There is only one reason why this movie is good: the brilliant Creator/PeterSellers was still alive.
* HilariousInHindsight: Clouseau's first disguise upon arriving in China being a stereotypical Chinese person which makes him stick out like a sore thumb is this due to Sellers' [[Film/TheFiendishPlotOfDrFuManchu final film]] having him play Fu Manchu, a character of Chinese ethnicity.
* RetroactiveRecognition: A cemetary guard is played by Creator/JohnBluthal, who would later be best known for playing Frank Pickle in ''Series/TheVicarOfDibley''.
* SignatureScene: Dreyfus' attempt to eulogize Clouseau is a masterclass in comedy, with Dreyfus frequently unable to stop from hysterically laughing, while convincing everyone else in the church that he's overcome with grief.
