* BadassDecay: This happened with the company during its last years. Their purchase by X-Nauts didn't help matters either.
* BestKnownForTheFanservice: Apart from Koyori and all the {{fanservice}} from the ''VideoGame/SengokuAce'' series, Psikyo is best known to most people as a company that made pornographic TabletopGame/{{Mahjong}} games (the ''Taisen Hot Gimmick'' series and an adaptation of ''G-Taste'' {{hentai}}), mostly thanks to Jun Tsukasa.
* CreepyAwesome: Ayin.
* CultClassic: Various games made by Psikyo are considered this:
** ShootEmUp fans have recommended Psikyo's BulletHell games to those wanting to get into them.
** ''Daraku Tenshi'' has a cult base between fighting game fans, especially on {{VideoGame/MUGEN}}, where all characters have adaptations to the engine, as well their stages.
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Koyori from the ''Sengoku Ace'' series, probably the most known character from Psikyo.
* GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff: Psikyo was huge in South Korea, almost any shmup you would find in arcades there were Psikyo or Psikyo styled.You could find some Korean shmups that are heavily influenced by Psikyo, such as 1945K III.
* OnlyTheCreatorDoesItRight: This happened with the ''VideoGame/SengokuAce'' series. The 2 first games were made by Psikyo (''Ace'' and ''Blade''), but after being bought by X-Nauts they made ''Cannon'', which [[FranchiseKiller killed the franchise]].
* PeripheryDemographic: After their closure, Psikyo's games were ported to mobile by Mobtrix ([[PortOverdosed and later a dozen other companies]]), it was there that Psikyo became known throughout the mobile gaming community, some people are more familiar with the mobile ports of their Shmups than the console ports.
* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: Most of its ShootEmUp games, like the ''Sengoku Ace'' series, qualify for this.
