Canon would later reveal that Ichigo's resemblance to Kaien is an UncannyFamilyResemblance, as Ichigo ''is'' part of the Shiba clan by virtue of his father Isshin, Kaien's ''uncle''.
7	** Uryu is forbidden from taking blood samples from Ichigo to see if he's part Quincy in addition to being part-everything else. Turns out, Uryu is ''right''; Ichigo's mother Masaki was a Quincy.
8	** Uryu gets hollowfied. Much later in canon, we'd get to see the same thing happen to another Quincy -- Masaki (though this incident establishes that canonically, it's impossible for a Quincy to become a Visored).
9	** Yamamoto denies the existence of zombies, or the Gotei 13 having anything to do with them. As of the Thousand Year Blood War arc, Giselle and Mayuri might have something to say about that...
10	** Yamamoto is shown to believe that Yachiru is not a little girl, but some embodiment of evil. While she isn't an embodiment of evil, she ''is'' an inhuman entity. Specifically, she's ''Zaraki's Zanpakutō Spirit''.
