* FanFicFuel: The series was CutShort with Eddie still needing 60 good deeds to become human again. This opened up plenty of possibilities to Eddie fulfilling his end of the bargain with the Drifter.
* FridgeHorror:
** One episode shows that Eddie isn't alone in having a ForcedTransformation.
** Also the fact that the Drifter apparently erased Eddie's parents from existence until Eddie becomes human again is pretty terrifying. And to know the series was canceled right after three seasons and left on a cliffhanger leaving Eddie not ever to finish his good deeds and still remain a dog does not help matters.
* JustHereForGodzilla: If you love Music/M83, then you're here just to see current band member, Morgan Kibby at a young age.
* RetroactiveRecognition
** Terra doesn't remember being a dog.
** Ethan is played by Aaron Paul, the future face of Jesse Pinkman.
** Gwen Taylor is played by Morgan Kibby who is a band member of M83. Fans of the music flocked to this show just to see the singer at a young age.
** Sariffa Chung is played by Creator/BrendaSong in her first major television role before she played London Tipton and voiced Anne Boonchuy.
* TearJerker: When Eddie befriends another human-turned-dog. At the end of the episode, she turns back into a human and thanks Eddie for being a good friend before saying goodbye. Just hearing Eddie call after her knowing that she couldn't hear him was truly sad to watch.
** There's also the revelation that, once Eddie completes his 100th good deed, Justin will have all his memories of Eddie erased. This can be a little sobering given how those two have become friends.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: One episode has Eddie meet another dog who as it turns out, is a girl who was also turned into a dog like him, and subsequently had to perform 100 good deeds. (And just like Eddie, the only person who could hear her talk was the person whose car she last drove into a pool.) However, the episode she's introduced in was her performing her 100th good deed and becoming human again. Surprisingly, a lot of kids went on Nickelodeon's boards and thought that she should have been around for a bit longer.
* UnintentionalPeriodPiece: The usage of "Who Let the Dogs Out?" by the Baha Men as a theme song is a clear sign of the show being from the year 2000.
