* AudienceAlienatingPremise: The card game is notoriously hard to get into, largely because the average time for a single round is 45 minutes.Although if both players know exactly what they're doing, match time may potentially be halved. A large majority of other [=CCGs=] can complete two games in the time it takes to finish one round of Luck & Logic. The unfortunate part is that games can end as early as Turn 5 and it still takes that long to get there. You can imagine how well this would work out in a tournament setting where you have to play four or five games in one sitting. There is also an overwhelming ruleset that tends to ward off newbies.
%%* ClicheStorm: A lot of the anime is this.
* ComplacentGamingSyndrome: Expect to fight a lot of Tamaki in high level play. Originally intended to be a defensive deck, players realized that several Tamaki card combos can start pumping cards into your hand at accelerated rates, giving the player a massive hand advantage, which is good for countering opposition plays by giving you a truckload of options during Logic Definition without having to Level Boost, due to the sheer volume of cards at your disposal. This strategy was so prevalent that in World Grand Prix 2016, over 40% of decks played were Tamaki, and almost all players playing her had an average hand size of 10 cards by Turn 5. Suitably, Bushiroad swung the nerf bat and cut the max hand size to 8 cards in AprilBefore this, hand size was unlimited, which enabled draw engines to be ridiculous broken, hence Tamaki.
* GameBreaker: The aforementioned Tamaki draw engine, prior to the hand limit rule.
* JustHereForGodzilla: There was significant attention towards the anime in the English-speaking world because popular Website/YouTube singer Nathan Sharp (Music/NateWantsToBattle) would make his debut as a voice actor in it voicing Yoshichika, the male lead.
* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments:
** Olga proves he's the JerkWithAHeartOfGold in Episode 7 when he actually encourages Yosuchika to reconcile with Athena.
** The ending has Bookends Yosuchika finding and giving Athena her Logic Card. Athena tearfully thanks Yosuchika and embraces him.
* Ho Yay: Most Logicalists and Covenantors are the same gender, and they are all rather close and their relationships seem vaguely romantic. Not to mention that all the Trance sequences tend to show them in rather intimate positions.
** It's particularly pronounced between Olga and Lucifer in the last few episodes, especially considering Lucifer is something of a male Vamp who is shown to seduce women into being Trans Jacked by him and doing his bidding. Lucifer also has a tendency to invade Olga's space, and their Trance sequence has Lucifer gently biting Olga's chin.
** Tamaki and Chloe are also very close to their respective Covenantors, Venus and Valkyrie, and their Trance sequences show them leaning towards each other like they're about to kiss. Mana is also quite close with her Covenantor, Artemis, but it's generally played more as a mother-daughter relationship.
* Narm: The infamous scene of Mana eating a chicken nugget which makes it seem like she's never seen food in her life.
