1	* AssPull: The author very clearly enjoyed the plot twists in Death Note and he tried to do the same in this story - the key word being ''tried''. Of note:
2	** The Life Note[[note]]Although the Life Note is fairly common in Death Note fanfiction and appeared in the manga pilot in the form of a "Death Eraser"[[/note]], each special ability of the Royal Death Note, Naomi's true identity... Dark's magic cellphone is both a metaphorical and [[AssShove literal asspull]].
3	** The [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Everything Note]] enables Dark to become king of the world, destroy all "nuclears," and go back in time.
4	*** "HE HAS A DARN EVERYTHING NOTE! THAT TIT IS TAKING THE PISS NOW!"
5	** A Teleport Note enables Hal Lidner (who is inexplicably male in this version) to teleport into Dark's house.
6	** A Ghost Note enables L to come back as a ghost... even though ghosts don't "exits".
7	** The Pain Note in the spinoff series lets Raye put anyone in pain. The Sick Note appears to do the same thing too. Neither one actually advances the plot once the author has exacted his insane "revenge" on canon characters. Both are just lying on the floor when needed. Ditto Near's Blind Note.
8	** The Talk To Dead Dudes Note and the even more utterly unhinged Talk To Not Dead Dudes Note which mysteriously just float up from the bottom of the sea.
9	** The Anti-Life Note is then {{Asspull}}ed out to {{Retcon}} the previous Asspulls. Except it apparently doesn't work.
10	** In what must be the one of the oddest Asspulls ever, Creepy Dude gets a Secret Death Note, which can't be detected by "Death Note radars" (hell, the very existence of a "Death Note radar" is an AssPull)... from a volcano god. And even then, Watari finds out about it anyways.
11	** The Blind Note apparently exists solely as a reason for Light to hate Near.
12	** The [[ResetButton Reset Note]] Does ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin.
13	** The Debu Note - a "fat note" [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ihEQlIJOIA from a Japanese sketch show]] - gets a ShoutOut.
14	** There are "Sex Notes". What they do is unclear, but they seem to give TIOSEFAJ blonde hair and a killer rack. In the epilogue, it's mentioned Samanther/[[spoiler: Light's Mom]] has a sex note but it's not a Note, merely a book where she's written down people she wants to have sex with. Dark/[[spoiler: Soichiro]] being the only name on it so far.
15	** The Shield Note saves people written down from the nuclear bomb that destroys the world. Yet there are some characters who inexplicably survive without the use of one, so it's effectiveness may be in doubt.
16	** In another of the author's stories, L meets a Shinigami called Secks who gives him her 'Time Note', which presumably lets someone travel in time.
17	** The original canon says that there can only be six Death Notes in the human world at one time. As you can see, the fic stamps all over ''this'' rule, [[FridgeBrilliance although it can be partially explained by the various notes not being ''death'' notes.]]
18	* BadassDecay:
19	** Most of the characters who don't [[TookALevelInBadass Take a Level in Badass]] in the story suffer it in some form but Light definitely suffers the worst from it. [[spoiler:Until the final epilogue...]]
20	** Ryuk is a whiny loser who is constantly bullied by the other shinigami, and Near went from being a genius detective to a whiny ButtMonkey.
21	* CanonDefilement:
22	** The story pays little attention to canon and literally every character acts nothing like in canon.
23	** The author admits that he changed Naomi from being Japanese to being British because it would make the story cooler.
24	* CargoShip: "She locked at near. 'You just thinked about making a [[HoYay laddie]] out of lego and sexing it.'"
25	* CrazyIsCool:
26	** Blud's description in chapter 13, just read it: ''"Standing over him snarling and dropping bits of blood and slobber was a fierce dude with twenty feet tall. His blood mowhawk was blooder than ever and there were dead peeps stuck to the spikes screaming in pain. His tooths had been sharpened so they were all sharp and bumpy like a saw and strong enough to chomp bone or concrete or even diamond but he didnt eat them cos they were pricy. He was wearing a coat of armer made of lava with guns and swords and cannons stuck to it. He was driving a motorbike and it was powered by nuclears which made it faster."'' Plus the 17 crossbows, stuck together with blood and "duck tape"!
27	** [[CharlesAtlasSuperpower Watari]] [[QuintessentialBritishGentleman Bumblesnoot]] [[NoIndoorVoice the]] Third
28	** Every last page, word, punctuation mark, and space in this story positively ''exudes'' this trope. Never before has this much ''insane awesomeness'' been seen in one location.
29	* DesignatedHero: Dark is treated as the hero of the story, but he is a pretty bad person who has done evil things.
30	* DesignatedVillain: As discussed in one author's note, Near is both [[TheChewToy abused]] and described very negatively despite him seemingly doing nothing wrong (mostly only spending time playing Legos or trying to avoid being killed by Dark). The author's solution is to include a NoodleIncident involving Near tricking Light so that this abuse would look justified.
31	* EnsembleDarkhorse: Watari is by far the best-received character in this fic, due to his hilarious LargeHam characterization.
32	* HilariousInHindsight: One of the story's first divergences from canon is establishing that it is set in the US and that almost all of the characters are American. [[Film/DeathNote2017 An official adaptation later did something similar.]]

34	** Many lines in the story. Here's an example.

36	** The DramaticReading by Manwithoutabody has several examples of its own, due to him being unfamiliar with the source material. He mispronounces most of the Japanese names, and voices L as a cheerful LargeHam, which makes his lines even more hilarious.
37	* NoYay: Dark/Samanther, [[spoiler: who is his mom.]]
38	* OneSceneWonder: Queen Elizabeth is considered to be one of the fic's funniest characters due to her scene in Chapter 23 where Dark controls her with his Death Note to punch an interviewer, announce Dark and Light's plan to destroy the world to the public and present the public with Dark's absurd list of demands. Just imagine the Queen saying ''"I WANT A BOOK WRITED ABOUT HOW GOOD I AM AT SEXING AND IT MUST BE THE LAW TO READ IT"''.
39	* RecurringFanonCharacter: This story is popular enough to make Dark one for the original series, as he has appeared in other fics, fanart, and parodies.
40	* SoBadItsGood: So many {{Asspull}}s and pointless rambling asides about how macho Dark is that they [[CrossesTheLineTwice somehow become massively comedic]].
41	* SpiritualSuccessor: ''FanFic/CodeGeassAwesomeOfTheRebellion'', which borrows the idea of the main character teaming up with his much more awesome long lost twin brother and just runs with it.
42	* TearJerker:
43	** A [[DeathIsCheap relatively]] straight example: [[spoiler:“I HAVE KILLED MY ONE TRUE SON! NOW WHO WILL I TAKE TO SOCCER PRACTISE?” “My deer father. You are bestest dad a dude could have.”]]

51	* VillainDecay: Light starts out acting as Kira, but quickly takes a backseat to Dark, who also later inexplicably stops being villainous.
