* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic:
** Tetomu's song, giving a power boost to [=GaoLion=] and summoning the new mecha formation [=GaoCentaurus=].
** And the instrumental version of the [=GaoKing=] theme.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqw-Co_d2RA The opening]] just screams this. Especially in the Super Sentai Spirits 2006 concert, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBIink7ecD0 where Yukio Yamagata came out with no shirt and a fur coat to really sell it.]] Yes, he looks rather Badass in it.
** How about Gao White's theme? It's by Mitsuko Horie, which helps a lot.
** The afformentioned opening is this, sure, but how about the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7JObzWXiMc All Cast special version?]] (and yes, they included the TitleScream in the beginning too!)
* CaptainObviousReveal: The Org Master is a figurehead for the Highness Duke Orgs. Considering most of Yabaiba and Tsuetsue's scenes involve them kissing up to the Highness Dukes and how little the Org Master is mentioned, this revelation is pretty obvious.
* EnsembleDarkhorse:
** Rouki who was seen as a much more interesting major antagonist compared to the Highness Dukes and is regarded by fans to be the best part of the show and the reason the Ura arc is considered the peak of Gaoranger, to the point that his ''Franchise/PowerRangers'' counterpart was made into a legitimately separate character and was in some way SparedByTheAdaptation.
** Ditto for the comical Yabaiba and Tsuetsue, whose playful antics and personalities were much more intriguing to fans than most of the other major villains. They even had [[SparedByTheAdaptation the same treatment]] as the aforementioned Rouki above in ''[[Series/PowerRangersWildForce Wild Force]]''.
* GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff: Despite having a SoOkayItsAverage reputation in almost every other country, this series is '''crazily popular''' in Vietnam, even as of the time of this writing (February 2019) is still widely remembered, referenced and most likely the first one Vietnamese people think of when talking about a Sentai series. This is because ''Gaoranger'' was the first Sentai series to be imported in Vietnam in around 2003 - 2004, and being one of the few things available on [=DVDs=] and [=VCDs=] for the kids to watch at that time, it spreaded ''very widely'' around the country.
* HilariousInHindsight:
** Creator/ShoutFactory's US DVD release of this series came out in December 2018, the 25th anniversary year of ''Power Rangers''.
** In this series, we have Sotaro Ushigome, a character who is a former sumo wrestler. [[Series/NinpuuSentaiHurricaneger One series later]], we get a character played by an '''actual''' former sumo wrestler.[[labelnote:who?]]Yujiro Shirakawa, who plays Ikkou Kasumi in ''Hurricaneger'', had a very short stint as a professional sumo wrestler before switching to acting.[[/labelnote]]
** This wouldn't be the last [[VideoGame/EndlessFrontier time]] that Creator/TetsuInada would play a demon named Shuten.
* HoYay: Gao Red and Gao Yellow, and Gao Blue and Gao Black are goldmines for this.
* NightmareFuel: [[spoiler: Gao Blue's brutal [[DisneyDeath death]] in episode 30]] is paired with blood, [[LaughingMad disturbing laughter]], and blood-curdling sound effects. If [[https://youtu.be/RE4QVZdBA5U?t=1265 that scene]] didn't scare you off from playing Super Sentai in your backyard as a kid, you are truly jaded.
* ReplacementScrappy: Rasetsu is viewed as an utter lame letdown of a main antagonist after the Rouki/Ura arc, as he has neither the cunning and complex scheming of Ura, being more interested in eating than anything else for most of his appearances, nor the characterization or coolness of Rouki, leading to a villain that most feel is generic and takes until his final two episodes to do anything of note, and to boot his final battle is underwhelming with most of the stakes coming off his own servants rather than himself, and him serving as the leader of the three Highness Dukes after their revival only seemed to fuel his reputation even further. He's so disliked as a character that many fans consider his ''Wild Force'' counterpart, [[DemotedToExtra Mandilok]], to be a vast improvement over him.
* SoBadItsGood: The Korean "Jungle Force" opening: "Power, Power, Pow!!!".
* SoOkayItsAverage: The general consensus of the show, given that it followed the well-regarded ''Series/MiraiSentaiTimeranger''; except for in [[GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff Vietnam]].
* SeasonalRot: Most fans agree that the show declined in quality once the Rouki/Ura arc ended, with Rasetsu being seen as an utterly boring and bland villain with little to make him compelling or entertaining and the lack of a secondary major villain like Ura had with Rouki (with the closest thing to that being [=DoroDoro=], but he only appears towards the end of the arc) makes the arc little of interest to follow.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: The Rasetsu arc seems to set up both Yabaiba and [=TsueTsue=] for a redemption (or at least a defection) as both start to figure out just how bad of a deal they have with the Highness Dukes Orgs' abuse and mistreatment of them, culminating in Yabaiba turning on Rasetsu out of anger for their callous use of a dying hornless [=TsueTsue=] as a MeatShield and even saving Tetomu from his grasp. Sadly, this realization goes nowhere as when Yabaiba has [=TsueTsue=] resurrected when fishing her up from Hell she ends up bringing the three Highnesses back with her and instead of being angry at how she was used is simply doubly insanely devoted to them and talks Yabaiba out of trying to walk out of being a villain easily which made the whole emotionality of the arc sub-plot feel entirely pointless since they were going to be treated as villains and serve their masters loyally regardless.
* TheWoobie:
%%** Gao Black (Administrivia/ZeroContextExample)
** Charcoal Grill Org, he was once an evil Org who changed his ways when he realized that he did not like hurting people and instead felt joy from helping them out and satisfying people with his meals, he assumed a human form to hide among humans to escape the Org/Human war and is succesful for thousands of years until his spotlight episode where he's constantly harassed by Yabaiba and [=TsueTsue=] who want to recruit him so he can make meals for [[UngratefulBastard Highness Duke Org Rasetsu]] and eventually gets killed by them and resurrected as a giant mindless monster out of spite for his defection which forces the tearful [=GaoBlack=] and Yellow, who he had befriended, to kill the one good Org there is. [[spoiler: Luckily, the ending of his episode implies that things will get better for him as he's seen back alive in his human form serving grilled food to Fuutaro/[=GaoGod=].]]
