1	* HilariousInHindsight: Thunderbolt's stance on redemption becomes pretty hilarious when later seasons show that [[spoiler:three villains in particular, Chrysalis included, were shown to be BeyondRedemption and thus were TakenForGranite]].
2	* JerkassWoobie: Thunderbolt is a massive jerk who doesn't think anybody who pulls a HeelFaceTurn is being truthful, treats the Mane 6 like crap, and he [[spoiler:uses RARA to create a WitchHunt against all former villains]]. However, with the reveal that [[spoiler: his daughter was killed and his wife crippled in the Changeling Invasion during the season two finale]], it's hard not to see why he's so bitter, why he views Twilight's TurnTheOtherCheek philosophy as [[StupidGood foolishly naive]], and why he believes all villains regardless of reformation need to pay for their crimes.
