* AluminumChristmasTrees: Many people think Faulerro inserted the "Hunny" pot in front of Monokuma during Episode 3. Although Faulerro changed the spelling, that pot is really there in the anime.
* AngstWhatAngst: Unlike in canon, Naegi doesn't react much to the knowledge that Maizono was planning to kill someone and frame him for it, even compared to learning about her doing so under the pretext of a "sugoi booty call" in his room. It's somewhat justified, though, considering that most things are played much less seriously in this Abridged Series, and Naegi's friendship with Maizono largely goes only as far as him being the only one who can tolerate her. He's also a lot less affected by the deaths of the students in general, though he is at least more upset over Kiyotaka's death than in canon.
* CaptainObviousReveal: turns out to be a real demon. Considering their title was "Super Duper High School " from the get-go, this was not a far-fetched idea.
* CrossesTheLineTwice: The last clip from Danganronpa 3 Bits and Pieces. showing [[spoiler:Chiaki getting ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice and then falling on a bed of spikes]] with Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog sound effects and GameOver music.
* EpilepticTrees: Faulerro is Monokuma! He created the show to give us hope to make us feel despair when it was never completed!
* HarsherInHindsight:
** During a Christmas video, Ed and Naegi get into a debate about their respective series and whose is better - Ed argues his has higher quality, while Naegi points out his brings in more views and that Ed's is in "indefinite hiatus", while his is going strong. Cut to a few months later where Faulerro announces he is taking a hiatus from abridging in general.
** Aoi's introduction mentions that "It is largely believed that if she is deprived of these baked goods, she will die." Flash-forward to Episode 2 of Anime/Danganronpa3s Future Arc, where [[spoiler:Aoi dies. Except not]].
** In Episode 6, Celestia tells Kirigiri that she'll show her a good time if she ever ends up in Hell, to which Kirigiri says she has no intention of going there. Celestia replies "I hardly think you have a choice in the matter." In Anime/Danganronpa3, .
** In DRAT to the Future, Naegi telling Yukizome she is "an actual ray of sunshine" and she makes him feel like there is actually some hope left became this when it was revealed that .
** Hinata's comments on hoping his story doesn't turn out to be "a complete rush job" come to mind when looking at how the 77th class' story was handled after the airing of Side:Despair--something Faulerro even recognized and changed accordingly on the original "Double DRAT" video.
--> Yeah, about that, Hinata...
* HilariousInHindsight: Episode 5 begins with Monokuma using a voice different from his usual one (meant as a jab against Creator/BrianBeacock's performance as the character) while the characters reacts in disgust. The anime dub after the games have many fans and critics agreeing that Creator/GregAyres's Monokuma was inferior to Beacock's; ironically enough, Monokuma's normal voice in this series is much closer to Ayres's interpretation of the character.
** Sayaka being depicted as a "Blue-haired weeaboo" becomes this after VisualNovel/DanganronpaV3KillingHarmony, where Creator/DorothyEliasFahn, Sayaka's voice in the first game, also voiced Tsumugi Shirogane.
** Touko claiming the killer must be "cis white male scum" is this in light of Tenko Chabashira in [=V3=] insisting the killer must be male.
** Monokuma uses the phrase "byeonara" in Episode 4, which later became a catchphrase for Angie Yonaga in V3.
