* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Is Batman always genuinely dumb, or does he sometimes [[ObfuscatingStupidity play it up]] to get an advantage over his villains? While there are moments where he makes some genuinely stupid mistakes, such as mistaking a party clown and a ''mime'' for the Joker within minutes of each other, his behavior when he encountered Two-Face seemed more like he was intentionally annoying Dent so that he could get the drop on him.
* CrossesTheLineTwice: The entirety of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1byycwl8qgc&list=PLAEB286C039A1A25E&index=10 Batman vs. the Penguin.]] Some highlights include:
** When Gordon and Penguin are asking why Batman killed one of Penguin's mooks with a Batarang, Batman says that the mook isn't dead, just sleeping.
--->'''Batman''': (about the mook with a Batarang protruding from his face): Look at him. He's all tuckered out.
** Batman doesn't realize that not only are his opponents dead, but so are his pet fish and even ''his parents''. He thinks that [[DogGotSentToAFarm they are just living in a farm upstate]], where they churn buttermilk, romp and play, and send him emails from a hammock made of dreams. So when Gordon explains that his fish (Dr. Fishy) actually died, he tries to use this to explain what happened.
--->'''Batman''': But my fish. He went to sleep, and we flushed him down the toilet. [[InsaneTrollLogic He's in the ocean right now, he's alive!]]\
'''Penguin''': [[BrutalHonesty No, he's dead.]]\
'''Batman''': DR. FISHY! [[BigNo NOOOOOOO!!!!!]]\
'''Gordon''': See Batman, what you did to Dr. Fishy is what you've done to these men.\
'''Batman''': I overfed these men?!
*** The conversation eventually leads to Batman concluding that sleeping is actually death, and vice-versa.
** Batman's constant innuendos in ''Batman Can't Stop Thinking About Sex''. To the point where Bane is visibly disgusted.
--->'''Batman''': How was that by the way? I hadn’t showered that day, and I fight crime in a rubber suit. Really ''seals in the flavor.''\
'''Bane''': Ugh, dude, Jesus.
* HilariousInHindsight: This series introduced hypothetical gritty versions of Penguin and Riddler. Film/TheBatman2022 has actual gritty versions of the two villains.
