* AccidentalInnuendo: This stanza from "The Last Moment of Clarity":
--> "Tune in the sky\
Ubiquitous and natural\
Carry the light\
'''And take it deeper and deeper inside."'''
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic- At least one track per album. Highlights include "Nocturnal Transmission", "Dreaming", "Flaming June", "P A R I S", "Simply Being Loved (Somnambulist)", "1.618", "The Emergency", "13 Angels on My Broken Windowsill", "Skylarking" and "Tomahawk".
** *NSYNC's "Pop", which was produced by BT.
** ''This Binary Universe''.
** One word. KIMOSABE.
* BrokenBase: ''Emotional Technology'' was panned by some fans on release for going way too far into pop and rock music. ''These Hopeful Machines'' got similar treatment for seeming to be "more of the same". Adding to the fire is ''This Binary Universe'', a downtempo glitchtronica opus that was released between these two albums, that had won over its own sizeable fanbase. Once ''THM'' came out, these new fans became disappointed at what was also perceived to be a step backward.
* EvenBetterSequel: ''These Hopeful Machines'' definitely improved on the trance-pop and rock songs of ''Emotional Technology''. The same could be said for ''Movement in Still Life''[='=]s improvements on ''ESCM'' and ''If the Stars Are Eternal So Are You and I''[='=]s improvements on ''This Binary Universe''.
* FridgeBrilliance: ''This Binary Universe'' was inspired by his daughter and was also dedicated to his deceased dog. The fifth track "See you on the other side" was mostly dedicated to his dog and the music video was a picture of his dog split up into fractals among other visual noise. Fast forward to "These Hopeful Machines", the music video for "Rose of Jericho" has a similar color motif and overall is very reminiscent of "See you on the other side", but it doesn't kick in why until you see what a [[http://www.fisheaters.com/roseofjericho.html ''Rose of Jericho'']] is.
* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome: After much prodding from Music/{{NSYNC}}, BT helped produce "Pop": what he describes as "Music/MichaelJackson meets Series/MaxHeadroom," directing Justin Timberlake to sing more like Michael Jackson. The moment of awesome would have been BT having a mainstream hit, but it's actually a tandem moment of awesome when at the 2001 [=VMAs=], during *NSYNC's performance, ''Michael Jackson himself'' shows up for his comeback, ''dancing to BT's track''. To repeat, the man who inspired BT to produce "Pop" ended up dancing to his song.
* TearJerker: "Remember". Holy crap
* TheWoobie: Between having his laptop stolen, his house broken into and his custom Stutter Edit software stolen, and his daughter briefly kidnapped, being BT isn't easy...
