To make it crystal clear: he sets up the whole damn exercise just to have virtual sex with the student that broke off with him]]. And she's aware this is all made on purpose. |
| 5 | * TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: The film's advertised setup is a group of philosophy students debating who are best suited to survive an apocalypse and rebuild. Unfortunately it's a bad-faith premise since the teacher has an underhanded objective to target a particular student and show off how effective his own reasoning is. He sabotages each scenario with WordOfGod and RocksFallEveryoneDies, rendering the students' discussion largely pointless. The film's true plot about the love triangle and intellectual struggle between Zimit and Petra is worthwhile, but it undercuts the advertised premise entirely. |

People are going to argue about the political value and[=/=]or political correctness of Petra's choice in the third scenario and nothing else, completely ignoring the fact she made them ''to spite Zimit'' and how her goal is to ''fail on purpose''. |
