----
* BrokenBase: The Cargobob incident in "Action Team News Part 2". Some fans blame Gavin for his poor driving skills and not moving away from Jack. Some fans blame Jack for purposely turning his copter towards Gavin's copter. Some fans blame both of them for being terrible flyers. [[TakeAThirdOption Others just want them to shut up and keep playing.]]
* CrossTheLineTwice: A standard for Achievement Hunter, but "The Prison Job" pseudo-heist has a running gag about Geoff's dealing with PrisonRape. While it could have easily crossed into tastelessness, especially to fans who don't find BlackComedyRape amusing at all, it somehow ends up completely hilarious thanks to Geoff's performance combined with the ridiculous prison names he and his cellmate have ('Sex-Butt' and 'Big-Dong' respectively). Jack's song helped. [-"Let's all go to the airport, let's all go the airport, let's all go to the airport, and save Goeff's holes from rape!"-]
* EvenBetterSequel: AH's playthrough of the official Heists was met with mixed reviews at best. The Criminal Masterminds challenge videos however are seen as some of their best work, because A) They were spread out to at least alternating weeks, so fans who don't like them still have something to watch (it was one of the bigger complaints with their Sky Factory series, which ran for 40 weeks in a row), and B) Dying invalidates the entire series so everyone was putting in effort, earning approval of fans who didn't like when they fucked around, got themselves killed, and the video ended up being them replaying missions over and over.
* GrowingTheBeard: Doubly so; when the series was ''Let's Play VideoGame/GrandTheftAutoIV'', it didn't really catch as much attention until the Lads and Gents played the "Cops 'n Crooks" game mode, which they enjoyed immensely and helped to establish ''Let's Play GTA'' as a second flagship series for the AH crew. After it became ''Let's Play VideoGame/GrandTheftAutoV'', the series' popularity tapered off a bit after a few months from the game's release, until they started robbing [[spoiler:convenience stores]] in overly elaborate schemes.
* HarsherInHindsight: In part 3 of the Doomsday Heist Criminal Mastermind challenge series, the group loses all of their challenge progress less than a minute into the video. That's bad enough, but by the end of the video, they've lost their progress three times and have given up on the challenge completely.
* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments: "How People REALLY Play GTA V" and "Airdropping a Submarine Car - GTA V: Lesson 2", in which Gavin introduces Fiona to the wonders of GTA Online. There's something quite touching about watching the two good friends just goofing around, laughing and having fun together.
* HilariousInHindsight: One part of the "Heist" mini-series was called "The Prison Job," which required the gang to break Geoff out of prison. When the actual ''GTA Online'' heists were released, one of them was called "The Prison Break", which required four players to break Rashkovsky out of prison. The gang even lampshade this.
** In addition, ''Michael's Heist'' had them attempt to rob a bank, only to realise [[HandWave the bank isn't open]]. Guess which bank you rob for the final Rockstar heist?
** In "Car Catching", Gavin proposes a DLC called "Ramp Car", which would literally just be the ability to get into the fake car attached to the top of the ramps outside the airport. Several years later, Rockstar released the ramp buggy, which the crew came to nickname the "ramp car".
* MagnificentBastard: From "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbZ7hRR5TSI Michael’s Heist]]": [[VillainProtagonist Michael himself]] organizes the heist so that only he and Gavin will survive, doing so by having his other teammates killed off. Pairing [[TheAce Ray]] and [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder Ryan]] together to provide backup for when the cops arrive so that they can die in the shootout, Michael does whatever he can to protect the [[TheLoad normally clumsy Gavin]] from getting killed. Even when Geoff and Kerry aren't killed by their exploding escape boat, Michael is still able to quickly murder them himself before they can make an escape. With everyone else dead, Michael splits his earnings with Gavin and his wife Lindsay, [[TheBadGuyWins securing the first victory in the "Heist" subseries]].
* MemeticBadass: The "Cops 'n Crooks" games made "[=MotoCop=]" out to be one.
* MemeticMutation: Ryan's "I'm still in the air!" line from "Achievement Knievel". He actually only said it once, but in editing decided to play it five times.
* MorePopularSpinOff: The "Heist" videos were meant to be a one-off mini-series to AH's ''Let's Play GTA V'' that worked around the then-lack of real heists in ''GTA Online'', but the amount of fan art, fan-created trailers, and the number of tropes on its main page suggest otherwise.
* RewatchBonus: Go back and watch Ryan at the beginning of "Michael's Heist". [[spoiler:Although it didn't stop him from being killed during the actual Heist, he figures out that Michael plans on double-crossing him and Ray.]]
* ScrappyMechanic: Any video that involves the Public server. Many viewers (and even the team themselves) absolutely hate it because they can get nothing done because every time they turn around, some player (which many believe are a bunch of fifteen year olds who just want to have their name plastered somewhere in one of their episodes) will constantly kill them while they're in the middle of a mission.
* ShockingMoments: A few episodes from ''Let's Play GTA IV'' have a ''very high'' HSQ. These episodes being the "Cops n' Crooks" episodes, "Witness Protection", "Lone Wolf Biker", "Wanted", "Wanted X", and "Best Stunt Ever".
** There's obviously the "Heist" episodes in ''Let's Play GTA V'', especially "Michael's Heist" and "The Grand Heist". Also, ''Things to Do in GTA V'' has high levels of this in "Splat", "Splat X", and "Achievement Knievel".
*** ''Let's Play GTA V'', "Chopper vs. Chopper". The game goes completely and totally off the rails during the last ten minutes of the video. [[StuffBlowingUp So many bullets flying and cars and helicopters exploding that you wouldn't believe it.]] Once the packages are actually collected, it starts to look like an action movie with the players skillfully dodging helicopter fire on motorcycles.
* TearJerker: In [[https://youtu.be/7hNzB6yOKlA?t=45 ''Let's Play - GTA V - Maximum Multiplayer'']], as Ryan's cycling through the other characters, he comes across one that looks eerily like the late Creator/MontyOum. His low "...Monty?" in shock hits home.
** The Criminal Masterminds for the Doomsday Heist as a whole can be considered one, due to the [[GameBreakingBug myriad problems they face]], but special mention goes to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C74Lmyu7DaY Part 3, aptly titled "Heist Hell".]] Due to even worse bugs than before, [[RuleOfThree they lose their progress three times in a row in one video]], with all of them hitting a DespairEventHorizon. Usually [[ComedicSociopathy seeing the guys in misery turns out funny]], [[SubvertedTrope but here it's heartbreaking]] especially when you realize they spent a good $10 or $15 of real-life money on it, and a lot of the humor in the video is lost as they get more and more beaten down. By the end of the video, it's almost a relief when the guys finally give up because they're so dead from having their progress reset so many times that the video is almost completely humorless without them even trying to have fun. [[HeroicBSOD Special mention goes to Michael's reaction]], where he [[TheScream screams in anguish]] and [[DrowningMySorrows starts drinking Fireball after the first progress reset]]. One [=YouTube=] comment describes both how the crew felt and the audience reaction to the video perfectly:
