* SugarWiki/AwesomeArt:
** The artstyles further support the Saturday morning children's comic/cartoon tone of the series.
** The art in ''Tales From Vader's Castle'' befit the spooky Halloween mood.
* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments:
** "Pest Control" is the epitome is HilarityEnsues. Finn having to catch a cute rogue creature before he gets caught by his superiors... and then the creature sneaks into a conference room holding a meeting between Kylo Ren, Hux, and other high-ranking officers, with [[HamAndCheese Kylo hamming it up]] and [[StraightMan Hux looking suitably rather unimpressed with Kylo]], and Finn {{facepalm}}ing [[ThisIsGoingToSuck as the creature turns off the lights]].
** Kallus proclaiming his fierce loyalty to the Empire while confronting Han and preparing to arrest him for desertion [[HilariousInHindsight is a lot harder to take seriously]] if you've seen ''Rebels'' (especially since the issue came out ''after'' the show had already concluded). Even more funnier with idea that Kallus and Han probably ''have'' met again while working for the Rebel Alliance.
** The covers for the first issue of ''Tales From Vader's Castle'' showing Kanan and Hera terrified at a green ghost in the background and reaching their arms out the doors like a poster to a [[StylisticSuck cheesy]] [[HamAndCheese horror movie]] from the '40's/'50's.
* JustHereForGodzilla: "Night of the Gorax" is only one issue but draws in a lot of Franchise/StarWarsLegends readers. This is due to its respectful and faithful ContinuityPorn of so many species and characters from the ''Ewoks'' movies and cartoons, while still using some SugarWiki/AwesomeArt and a tense plot to make one of the scariest stories in the ''Vader's Castle'' miniseries.
* MemeticBadass: The comic brings Jaxxon, a character who probably has about the same level of infamy as [[Franchise/ScoobyDoo Scrappy-Doo]] among ''Legends'' & Expanded Universe comic fans, back into canon. Except Jaxxon's reputation is benevolent enough that he's only looked down on for being a strange and jarring addition to the ''Star Wars'' universe (i.e. a [[AmazingTechnicolorPopulation green]] WesternAnimation/BugsBunny {{expy}} [[JustForFun/RecycledInSpace ...in space]]) rather than being outright obnoxious, which is probably why his return has been treated rather lightly by fans. Also, [[ComicBook/BuckyOHareAndTheToadWars Bucky O'Hare]] exists so he seems less strange now.
* MemeticMutation: After it was revealed that Kallus has met Han and Chewbacca, this prompted jokes among [[FanPreferredCouple Kallus and Zeb shippers]] that Kallus thinks Han and Chewie are a couple in the same vein as them.
* PeripheryDemographic: Despite being targeted towards children, older fans have found the comics to be rather entertaining, especially because of the ContinuityCavalcade (also helped in that writers from other ''Star Wars'' works are writers on this series), SugarWiki/AwesomeArt, and ADayInTheLimelight[=/=]DayInTheLife format, which evokes the nostalgia of Saturday morning cartoons while not making it bizarre or out of place for current ''Star Wars'' standards.
* SoOkayItsAverage: Fans that don't like the comics agree that the loose canon of the comic makes the series too comical ala the Lego adaptations or don't think the format of the characters' everyday lives fits ''Star Wars'' to be considered canon in their eyes.
* TearJerker: In Issue #7 of the 2020 run, Quiggold makes a [[BadassBoast run down]] on the members of the Crimson Corsair crew, and when he gets to Kix, he talks about how as the Last Clone, he's lost everything.
-->''"Have I mentioned the Clone? […] The only kind that anyone ever '''means''' when they say '''[='The Clone.'=]''' The '''Last''' Clone, I think. We found him in cold storage. He's a medic, but the way he fights… you've '''never''' seen '''anything''' like this. No one has… not in a '''generation''', I'd guess. And he's so angry. And he's so '''sad'''. He used to have '''millions''' of brothers… now he's the last. But he '''still''' hears them. They '''whisper''' to him. He's still '''fighting''' his war. I don't think he can '''ever''' stop."''
* WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids: The 2018 Halloween mini-series, ''Tales from Vader's Castle''.
** The Ewok story is about the Ewoks being creepily possessed, an enemy species abducting Ewoks to sacrifice them to a predator, and the story ends with the main protagonist Ewok staying behind as the sacrifice.
