%%* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The channel has a playlist for their soundtrack for a reason.
* FanWank: A positive example; after the disaster of ''Evolution'', the creators wanted to prove that it ''is'' possible to do a good LiveActionAdaptation of ''Anime/DragonBallZ''.
* FridgeHorror: During the scene after [[spoiler: Android 17 blows up the refugees Trunks had been trying to save]], the camera seems to be avoiding showing the ground at certain angles around Trunks. It's slightly disturbing, seemingly for no reason, until you realize [[spoiler: there are probably more corpses and/or corpse pieces scattered around [[GoryDiscretionShot in the places the audience can't see.]]]]
%%* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome: Gohan's transformation into Super-Saiyan form, and the fight that ensues.
* {{Narm}}: Some of the dialogue may come across this way. Android 17 calling humans "vermin" seems to be the one that stands out.
* NightmareFuel:
** Some viewers found the series more frightening than the already dark original special because Trunks is played by an actual child- it's scarier to see a kid being beaten up by a pair of cyborgs in live action than in anime.
** The corpse of [[spoiler: the little girl Trunks failed to save]] is only shown from a distance, but it looks like [[NeckSnap her head is lying at an unnatural]] [[OffWithHisHead angle compared to the rest of her body.]]
** Gohan’s death is pretty gruesome with his face and arms slowly melting off and burning under the pressure of the Android’s attacks.
* SugarWiki/VisualEffectsOfAwesome: Oh, ''yes''.
** The crew manages to capture the raw speed/strength of the franchise's fights very well, and the special effects for energy (ki or the Androids' variant) aren't too shabby either.
