!!The animated series
* CultClassic: Although not a very well-known series, ''Blazing Dragons'''s indomitable wit and hilarious comedy has earned it a loyal following that remains active to this day.
* FandomVIP: Natacha Statari (also known by her [=DeviantArt=] name Benthehyena), who is probably the most influential figure in building the show's current cult status, with her creation of the [=#BDRevolution=] or [=#BlazingDragonsRevolution=] (after [[https://blazingdragonsrevolution.tumblr.com/ her fanblog for the show]]) and wider efforts to spread awareness of the franchise, convert additional fans, and urging Creator/{{Nelvana}} and Creator/TerryJones to bring the series back in some form. She's even attracted the attention of several staff members of the show including director Larry Jacobs and the show's late story editor Erika Strobel (who actually helped her co-found the [=#BlazingDragonsRevolution=] hashtag).
* GeniusBonus: Allfire's sword is called "Excaliburn." Obviously a pun but also a combination of the two names of King Arthur's sword: Excalibur and Caliburn.
* MyRealDaddy: While the series is credited as the brainchild of Creator/TerryJones, his involvement in its production amounted to little more than coming up with the basic concept of the show and then granting his approval to make it into a full cartoon. Instead, it would be Gavin Scott who would develop Jones' idea with a series bible and pilot script and the folks at Creator/{{Nelvana}} who would give it the humor and flare that the final product seen on television had.
* PopularWithFurries: Due to the cast of anthropomorphic dragons, there's a significant amount of overlap between this show's fandom and the UsefulNotes/FurryFandom, especially among scalies and dragon lovers.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSong: Fittingly enough for a show co-created by one of the Pythons, the opening theme bears some resemblance to the Knights of the Round Table song from ''Film/MontyPythonAndTheHolyGrail''.
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: Some of the changes made to the second season generated this from fans, such as the shift in animation style (a decision from the production team to make animation easier), the removal or demotion of several characters (especially Princess Flame and Count Geoffrey), and shortening the show from a full half-hour to a TwoShorts format. Nonetheless, it is widely agreed upon that the series remained just as sharp and funny as before.

!!The video game
%%* HoYay: Sir Loungelot and Trivet.
* ItsShortSoItSucks: The only drawback in the game is the short length.
* SugarWiki/NoProblemWithLicensedGames: The game is well-received among many adventure gamers and critics for its great voice acting and animation, challenging but fun puzzles, and retaining the show's sense of humor. Some say that the character designs are better compared to the animated version.
* {{Squick}}: One of the knights who can marry Flame is Blaze. As the show revealed, Blaze is Flame's [[NotBloodSiblings step-brother]]. Admittedly, it would be worse if they were biologically related, but even so...
* ThatOnePuzzle: The part where Flicker has to stop the hunter from shooting a dodo certainly qualifies.
