* AccidentalAesop:
** If you have a physical disability that affects your job performance, everything will work out fine if you don’t disclose it to your employer.
** When your doctor says not to do something or you will die, doing it anyway and getting hospitalized as a result will mean you get patched up good as new.
* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation:
** Was Blade's hesitance in training Dusty because he thought a crop duster/racer wouldn't have what it takes to be a firefighter, Dusty not making a first good impression because of how he flew close to a fire, him never getting over the death of Nick and Dusty's champion racer status reminded Blade of his actor days of how he failed to save Nick, or was it because he didn't want to be responsible for Dusty dying as he is already too worried about the safety of his other workers?
** Did Dusty wait until the last second to tell Blade about his broken gearbox caused by the latter's intimidating demeanor, or was it because Dusty didn't want to slow anyone down because of his disability?
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50C7Sf0hcJQ "Still I Fly"]], an AwardBaitSong which plays during Dusty's TravelMontage.
* MoralEventHorizon: Cad crosses it when he hogged the water the firefighters needed for retardant and used it for the sprinklers of his lodge.
* OneSceneWonder: The boat who is briefly left alone when all the guests flee the fire and gives out an adorably high-pitched scream of terror before the car towing it hastily returns.
* SurprisinglyImprovedSequel: The original, while it had some good points, was a ClicheStorm with a paltry 25% on Rotten Tomatoes. ''Fire and Rescue'' managed 45% (more than ''WesternAnimation/Cars2''!), with a semi-original plot, interesting characters, and so on; the fandom also generally likes it better. It also helps that it focuses on a profession-- aerial firefighting-- that gets relatively little exposure in pop culture.
