!!YMMV tropes for "Word of the Day":
* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: It's often assumed that Miss Carol was fired for cursing on the air, but since she hated the job and was already reaching her breaking point, maybe she happily stepped down and let Miss Stephanie take over. Or both.
* Fanon: There are two main candidates for the word.
** As the word isn't revealed for obvious reasons, fans assume it was the C-word, given how it shocks the adults around her and was enough to get Miss Carol fired from the show.
** Viewers that can lip-read have noticed that Angelica is making an "f" sound right before the SoundEffectBleep, so other fans assume that it's the F-word, which would also get Miss Carol fired.
* KarmicOverkill: Angelica genuinely didn't realise what she was doing was wrong, as she heard Miss Carol say the "new fun phrase" and logically assumed that's what it would be. Drew and Charlotte just punish her repeatedly, without telling her which word was bad, and Angelica only says the word to ask if it is the bad one. There's also the fact that she's only three years old and got screamed at by a grown adult on live television.
* TheWoobie: Miss Stephanie, the BeleagueredAssistant to Miss Carol. She seems to genuinely like the show and children, but has to deal with a disinterested diva. Thankfully she catches a break at the end.

!!YMMV tropes for "Jonathan Babysits":
* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: Jonathan finds a video tape titled 'Angelica's first word'. When we see a flashback to her first word in "No More Cookies", there is no video camera present. Does that mean Angelica was lying when she said her first word was 'cookie'? Or did Drew and Charlotte make a fake video of her first word to save face? Or did they start recording after Angelica said "cookie" to try and catch it on film?
