11	''Simon in the Land of Chalk Drawings'' is a {{Chinese\|Series}}/{{Canadian\|Series}} cartoon by Creator/{{Cinar}} and Shanghai Animation Film Studio. It's an AnimatedAdaptation of a series of four [[ChildrensLiterature children's books]] by Edward [=McLachlan=] and a remake of the [[WesternAnimation/SimonInTheLandOfChalkDrawings original 1970s British series]]. It is narrated by Ernie Coombs, aka Series/MrDressup; his final role.

13	Simon is a young boy who owns a chalkboard. What's so special about it? Why, simple. Whatever Simon draws on it becomes real in the Land of Chalk Drawings, [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin a land composed entirely of chalk drawings]] that Simon can reach by climbing a ladder and looking over a fence. Each episode deals with Simon drawing something on his chalkboard, and then being called to the Land of Chalk Drawings by his friend to see what his latest creation is doing.
