''Christmas in New York'' is a 2005 animated Christmas film made by Creator/MondoTV and animated by Creator/SEKStudio. It features characters from several of Mondo's other animated television series and movies, like Ari and Winner from ''Winner and the Golden Child'', and Fox from ''Simba Jr. and the World Cup''.

After deciding it is too hot in the jungle, Ari, Fox, and Winner decide to go to New York City to see Santa Claus. While there, they quickly get into a number of adventures.

!!''Christmas in New York'' contains examples of:

* BigApplesauce: The movie takes place in New York City.
* DeusExMachina: The subplot about the dog catcher's disabled daughter is almost immediately dealt with by the sudden appearance of the Snowflake Fairy, who grants Ari's wish to allow the girl to walk.
* DiabolicalDogCatcher: There's a Cockney-accented dog catcher who's extremely insistent on catching Fox and Winner, despite them clearly being with Ari. He suddenly [[HeelFaceTurn becomes good]] later for no apparent reason.
* ADogNamedCat: One of the main characters is a dog named Fox.
* ExcusePlot: Why do our main characters want to go to New York for Christmas? Because it's ''too hot'' in the jungle!
* FurryConfusion: At the end of the movie, the "dog party" features a lot of dogs standing on two feet, and even a few dogs wearing clothes and with ''humanoid hands'', along with the numerous regular-looking dogs.
* GISSyndrome: The toys in a lot of the storefronts are literally 2D photos of Creator/{{Disney}} toys, which stand out really badly from the animation. Some background elements (like light fixtures) also appear to have been cut out from other images, as they don't match the movie's art style.
* HeelFaceTurn: The dog catcher who harasses the group suddenly turns good without any real explanation.
* HongKongDub: A lot of the voices don't really match the lip flaps of the animation, and the characters frequently talk over each other and make "um" and "ah" sounds.
* JumpCut: There are a number of rather jarring cuts in some scenes, where the characters are jumping or moving around before the scene suddenly cuts to them standing calm, as if an in-between scene was deleted.
* LittlestCancerPatient: The dogcatcher's daughter is wheelchair-bound. She eventually gets healed by a wish Ari makes.
* TheMafia: Ari resorts to selling his ruby button to these gangsters when he's unable to sell it legally, being a small child.
* {{Malaproper}}: The characters keep mispronouncing Donner the reindeer's name as "Donder".
* MallSanta: Ari meets an overly-pushy street Santa, who claims to be one of Santa's "helpers", insisting on taking his letter but requiring Ari to know the names of all of Santa's reindeer.
* NotEvenBotheringWithTheAccent: A lot of the characters have unexplained British or Italian accents, due to Mondo simply settling on random people who knew English to do the voices. It could kind of be explained by the melting-pot nature of New York City, but it's a little jarring when literally every other person speaks with a non-American accent.
* OrWasItADream: At the end of the film, the group wake up on the church steps, leading them to wonder if the film's events was a dream. The arrival of several characters from the party reveal it wasn't.
* PlotHole: There's a ''lot'' of inconsistencies within the narrative. For instance, it's said that only Ari can understand Winner and Fox because he's "special". Mere ''minutes'' later, however, the dog catcher can somehow understand Fox and Winner and hold a conversation with them.
* RandomEventsPlot: Once the group arrive in New York, any semblance of a coherent plot disappears. They simply get into a lot of random, unconnected Christmas-themed adventures.
* TitleDrop: When asked why they want to go to New York, Fox replies "Because it's Christmas in New York, and there's snow!"
* ViewersAreGoldfish: Fox keeps reminding everyone that he's from New York ad nauseum.
* VocalDissonance: Winner, despite being a male dog, has a high-pitched voice you'd expect from a woman or a very young child, due to being [[TheOtherDarrin voiced by a different actor]] from his first appearance..
* VoiceOfTheLegion: The tree that takes the group to New York speaks like this.
* YouNoTakeCandle: Serpico, one of Fox's companions, speaks ''really'' broken English, with lines like "let us the complements, then go away convenient".
