''Power of Ether'' is a Sci-FI/fantasy webcomic, with some drama and comedy thrown in for good measure. The comic is about 5 young adults, who find themselves stuck on a ship headed to a continent full of people with superpowers. Thing is, these super-powered people, or “Gifted” as they are known in-universe, were all forcibly removed from their homeland several generations ago, so it’s safe to assume that they won’t be very welcoming of the protagonists. Presumably.

The comic first started on the 12th of January, 2015. Since then the comic has been updated quite erratically, but consistently, and undergone a great deal of Art Evolution in that time.

!!''Power of Ether'' contains examples of:
* AnachronismStew: [[http://www.powerofether.com/archive/13-comic-1-10 Genetic manipulation]] was invented before [[http://www.powerofether.com/archive/14-comic-1-11 sea travel]] in this world. It kind of makes sense, as the whole of humanity was too busy being at war with each other to bother with exploring the world.
* ArtEvolution: Compare the [[http://www.powerofether.com/archive/1-comic-1-1 first]] comic to one just [[http://www.powerofether.com/archive/39-comic-2-15 2 chapters later.]]
* BerserkButton: For Cassandra. Don't call her [[http://www.powerofether.com/archive/35-comic2-12 "Sugar!”]].
* DarkAndTroubledPast: [[spoiler: Isaac and Cassandra’s parents were drug addicts, often neglecting their children, or taking out their anger on them.]]
* EmotionlessGirl: Downplayed with Blake. She generally has a neutral expression, though not always.
* FieryRedhead: Cassandra really has a temper sometimes. See berserk button above.
* GenkiGirl: Olivia has her moments.
* HalfIdenticalTwins: Cassandra and Isaac. Downplayed in that they have quite different physical appearances.
* {{Hammerspace}}: Justified, as technology has apparently improved to the point where people can make "bottomless pockets." Nothing organic can go in though, only materials and inanimate objects.
** Exactly how they work is still a mystery though.
--> '''Dax:''' '' 'Alright, in layman's terms, they get a giant bag and squeeze the space insi-' (Olivia gets a little too close to covering her head with it) 'DON'T PUT YOUR HEAD IN IT!' ''
* HealingFactor: [[spoiler:Lady Gwenovere]] can heal injuries. And apparently she reciving them.
* InTheHood: Blake wears a [[http://www.powerofether.com/archive/30-comic-2-09 full-body hooded cloak.]]
* NervesOfSteel: Cassandra: What do you do when some stranger has teleported behind you and pulled a knife to your neck? Insult him and beat him up.
* NoodleIncident /NoodleImplements: No one really knows what Olivia was planning to do in [[http://www.powerofether.com/archive/15-comic-1-12 this]] comic...
--> '''Dax:''' ''I am NOT your bloody Ken Doll! Ok?!''
* PunctuatedForEmphasis: [[http://www.powerofether.com/archive/35-comic2-12 “No one. Calls. Me. Sugar!”]]
* RetCon: The original first chapter has been redrawn, as Damien himself couldn't stand to look at the first few, let alone new readers.
* SpikyHair: Dax’s hair almost literally looks like a brown buzz-saw.
** Quite a few non-main characters also have hair that consists of spikes.
* TankTopTomboy: Cassandra’s normal clothes are a tank-top and track pants. Though so is Isaac’s, so…
* TheWarRoom: Well, it's implied to be an emergency meeting room for all the faction leaders, but it still [[http://www.powerofether.com/archive/14-comic-1-11 looks]] like it.
* TwoGirlsToATeam: Inverted. There are only 2 guys in the main 3 characters, Dax and Issac.
* VillainTeleportation: Alfie can teleport himself and at least one other person. Though it apparently has a cooldown, as he doesn’t use it to escape.
