''Fabuland Housewives'' is a [[BuiltWithLego Lego]] photo webcomic hosted on [[http://brickzone.net BrickZone.net]]. Unlike most Franchise/{{LEGO}} webcomics, the characters aren't standard minifigs, but FunnyAnimal characters from Toys/{{Fabuland}}, a relatively obscure [[Toys/LEGOThemes Lego theme]] from the 1980s.

As far as plot is concerned, ''Fabuland Housewives'', is a [[TheMockbuster spoof]] on the TV series ''Series/DesperateHousewives'', which means basically people (or animals for that matter) with lots of dark secrets living in StepfordSuburbia.

It can be read [[https://web.archive.org/web/20150323075350/http://brickzone.net/fabuland_housewives.html here]].

Due to the website domain being taken down, only archives remain.
----
!!This webcomic contains examples of:
* AnimalJingoism: Being an [[AnimalStereotypes elephant]], Evan always [[EekAMouse freaks out at the sight of mice]].
%%* AnimatedActors: [[http://brickzone.net/fabuland_cast.html Well, Lego-actors]].
%%* AmnesiacDissonance
%%* AnyoneCanDie: And ''how''.
%%* ArmouredClosetGay: [[spoiler: Doctor Dalton]].
%%* AttentionWhore: Langston Lion.
%%* BoomHeadshot: Quite a few deaths.
* BreakingTheFourthWall: Some shortcomings of Lego-webcomics are acknowledged and [[RuleOfFunny played for laughs]] within the comic. ([[NoKnees No knee joints]] for example.)
* CastFullOfGay: A large chunk of the male cast is gay in the comic.
* CatScare: Played for laughs: [[spoiler: The cat is anthropomorphic.]]
%%* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Bianca Lamb, to a lesser extent also Gavin Gorilla.
* ComingOutStory: Boris, early on. Though when word gets out through the gossip rags about his homosexuality, the town as a whole is completely accepting, and have no qualms with having a gay chief of police.
%%* CrapsaccharineWorld: The inevitable result of the combination mentioned in [[DarkerAndEdgier Darker And Edgier]].
* ChromaticArrangement: The four sisters Bianca, Lily, Lila and Lacey Lamb wear green, yellow, blue and red respectively. (Necessary due to [[OnlySixFaces Only Six Faces]].)
* DarkerAndEdgier: Acting out "Desperate Housewives"-style plots with children's toys - so yeah...
%%* DepravedHomosexual: [[spoiler: Fenix and Dalton.]]
%%* ExtremeDoormat: Marcus Mouse.
* FantasticRacism: Alluded to, although no characters are really openly racist. Evan Elephant's violent reaction towards mice seems to be more [[MyInstinctsAreShowing instinctual behavior]] instead of based on prejudices.
* {{Flashback}}: Often used to give characters, who have already been killed off, some more screen time. Episode 15 even is a [[WholeEpisodeFlashback Whole Episode Flashback]].
%%* FunnyAnimal: The entire cast.
* FurryConfusion: Often played with.
** In one strip, Gavin Gorilla encounters a non-anthropomorphic Lego monkey.
** A character is suffering from [[EasyAmnesia amnesia]] and is thus called John Doe. He complains that he is no doe, he is a rabbit.
*** HilariousInHindsight because rabbits also have "bucks" and "does" like deers do.
** Disgruntled with Governor Cora undermining his authority, Mayor Langston calls her a cow. Guess what species Governor Cora is...
* HappilyMarried: Gavin and Gregor are one of the ''very'' few happy committed couples in the series, while they aren't officially married, Gavin does refer to Gregor as his husband.
* InterspeciesRomance: Most relationships are interspecies, to the point where Betsy Bunny and Randy Rabbit are, in fact, THE EXCEPTION!
* LeftHanging: Most if not all the mysteries and cliffhangers in season one get wrapped up by the end. But the first episode of season two opens up a whole can of new mysteries. None of which get answered because a second episode has never been made.
%%* TheMafia: [[spoiler: ''Definitely'' not TheFamilyForTheWholeFamily, either.]]
%%* MediumAwareness: "We're building an alternate model."
* TheMockbuster: The whole comic is a spoof on Desperate Housewives, which leads to...
** PunBasedTitle: "Welcome to Histeria Lane!"
%%* MorallyAmbiguousDoctorate: [[spoiler: Doctor Dalton Dog]]
* PaletteSwap: Due to a limited number of head-moulds, characters can often be only told apart by their differently coloured bodies/clothes. It doesn't help much when there are at least 4 lambs, three of which have L names, and they all have a tendency to get involved in affairs.
* ReallyGetsAround: Lily Lamb.
--> "Don't have sex with Horace!" Lily: "I'll try, but no promises."
%%* SceneryPorn: Quality photography, terrific [=MOCs=]!
%%* SpeciesSurname
%%* StepfordSuburbia
* StraightGay: All of the gay men in the story seem to be this. The most flamboyant thing about any of them seems to be that Payton carries a wine glass around a lot.
* SoapOperaRapidAgingSyndrome: The baby Bianca finds in season one is a teenager in season two, although in-universe the time gap between the two seasons is only one year. [[LampshadeHanging Lampshaded]] by the explanation that animals grow up much faster than humans.
* TheReveal: [[spoiler:Doctor Dalton is gay! ... also the killer too, but whatever.]]
* TimeSkip: Season two starts with the episode ''365 Days Later''.
* TookALevelInBadass: Would you have guessed that out of all people, [[spoiler:meek confidence-less [[ButtMonkey Butt Monkey]] (Butt Mouse??) Marcus Mouse would be the new mayor in season two?]]
* WillTheyOrWontThey: Through out season one Payton and Boris are constantly skirting around their feelings for each other.
%%* {{Yandere}}: [[spoiler: Fenix]]
