''Alligator Loki'' is an Creator/InfinityComics webcomic from Creator/MarvelComics, centred around the titular alligator, a version of Marvel's character [[Characters/MarvelComicsLoki Loki]].

The concept of Loki in the form of an alligator was first introduced by the Creator/DisneyPlus series ''Series/Loki2021'', but this version is effectively a CanonImmigrant and the webcomic is not set in the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse continuity.

The series is written by Creator/AlyssaWong and illustrated by Bob Quinn, with color art by Pete Pantazis.

As with Marvel's other Infinity Comics, the series is (at least initially) only available via the Marvel Unlimited app. It's published fortnightly and the first chapter was released March 10, 2022.

----
!!''Alligator Loki'' contains examples of:
* BerserkButton: The butterflies in the swamp are Alligator Loki's friends (at least ''after'' the initial misunderstanding). Anyone trying to eat them will instantly make Loki ''very'' angry, as Frog Thor discovers.
* BlandNameProduct: The 'Thorlaroid' camera used in one issue is based on a Polaroid. As Thor himself is using it, this doubles as a PunnyName.
* CanonImmigrant: It’s unclear whether Alligator Loki is an AlternateUniverse version who's naturally an alligator, or a transformed version of a humanoid Loki, but this concept of the character is broadly drawn from the Series/Loki2021 series, and hasn't appeared in the original comics before.
* ContinuityNod:
** When Thor and Loki drop in on the Avengers, they're within Avengers Mountain, the half-buried remains of a Celestial, as seen in the [[ComicBook/TheAvengersJasonAaron Jason Aaron run]].
** In the 2023 ValentinesDayEpisode, someone's alone on a park bench, holding flowers and looking at their watch, when the two Lokis scuffle with Hulking and Wiccan. It's Valentine Vuong, Deadpool's new love interest from ''ComicBook/Deadpool2022'' (which is also written by Creator/AlyssaWong).
* CranialEruption: Alligator Loki's battle with Frog Thor leads to a number of mountainous bumps on his head. They're high enough to push his helmet off, and look like a crown of bruises by the time Thor's finished.
* DeskSweepOfRage: It's not entirely intentional, but a frustrated Loki knocks ''everything'' off Thor's desk while straining to move Mjolnir.
* EnemyRisingBehind: In issue #21 ("Swamp Showdown"), Alligator Loki scuffles with Frog Thor after the frog eats one of his butterfly friends. Mjolnir makes the fight pretty one-sided, especially with the frog on a high bank above the water. And then a huge cloud of butterflies rises up behind him. There's a definite OhCrap moment when he realises why he's now in shadow.
* FoodShoveGag: Issue 29 features Frog Thor being shoved down Alligator Loki's throat by Shanna. GettingEatenIsHarmless, and after some queasiness Loki expels him.
* TheHilarityOfHats: Alligator Loki ends up stacking hats at his birthday party, with a conical party hat worn atop one of his usual helmet's horns.
* InfiniteCanvas: As with Marvel's other Infinity Comics, it’s presented in the vertical scrolling variant. Each issue is a single long page, with one column of panels.
* InJoke: In the ValentinesDayEpisode "Hearts and Crafts", the two Lokis pester various Marvel couples on Valentine's Day. They also run into Cyclops, Jean Grey and Wolverine, who are spending the day together. The three characters are one of Marvel's longest running {{Love Triangle}}s - but some [[ComicBook/XMenTheKrakoanAge Krakoan Age]] ''X-Men'' comics have hinted (or subtly joked) that this has been resolved via polyamory. So ''of course'' they just happen to be together for Valentine's Day...
* LighterAndSofter: It's an all-ages series and concentrates on fun with a little bit of mischief, as opposed to the darker tone of Thor and Loki's appearances in most Marvel titles. Even characters like Dormammu, Doctor Doom and Mephisto aren't portrayed as actively villainous.
* LogicalWeakness: The humanoid Loki is the son of a frost giant, but Alligator Loki is a reptile. He's never seen snow before and he's not so good with extreme cold.
* OtherMeAnnoysMe: When the humanoid version of Loki also enters the story, the two don't initially get along. Played with when [[spoiler:Loki locks Alligator Loki in a carrier and opens a dimensional portal. It’s implied that he's about to be banished back to his original world - but he's actually being sent to a surprise birthday party]].
* OutOfCharacterMoment: The LighterAndSofter tone extends all the way to Mephisto, Marvel's most prominent demon, keeping Alligator Loki warm with magical flames in winter.
* PhotoMontage: The first 'season' of the series ends with a collection of '[[BlandNameProduct Thorlaroid]]' photos from Alligator Loki's birthday party.
* PrintBonus: The 2023 collected edition includes a "never-before-seen adventure" as well as the reprinted webcomic strips.
* PunnyName: The 'Thorlaroid' camera is a BlandNameProduct version of a Polaroid, with an added pun as it's Thor who's using it.
* ReptilesAreAbhorrent: Downplayed. He's Loki. He's an alligator. He's awfully cute. But he's still a little bit villainous and will attempt to eat Thor's head or steal his hammer.
* SilenceIsGolden: There's no dialogue, although we do get "chomp" sound effects, such as when Loki's attacking butterflies and readable text on phones, photo captions and other items.
* ThatsAllFolks: There's a final image and caption after the credits on issue #12, the last issue before a hiatus, confirming that Alligator Loki will return.
* ValentinesDayEpisode: "Hearts and Crafts" (#19) is a 2023 Valentine's Day story. Thor's out on a date, whereas Loki is home alone, eating a bucket of ice cream and forlornly looking at dating apps. Alligator Loki decides to make his day less miserable and they spend the day making paper hearts and decorations, then love-bombing well-known Marvel couples with them. [[spoiler:They eventually end up consoling a very single, very miserable Hawkeye]].
* VitriolicBestBuds: Alligator Loki eventually settles into something resembling friendship with the humanoid Loki. Given how prickly and mischievous both can be, there seems to be plenty of heat and snark to it.
* WebcomicPrintCollection: A one-shot ''Alligator Loki'' comic book collecting some of the stories, along with a [[PrintBonus new bonus story]], was released in September 2023.
* WhoopeeCushion: In "Poster Children", Gabby ran away from the ComicBook/XMen's living island of Krakoa after putting a whoopee cushion on Professor X's Quiet Council chair and subsequently being scolded by Logan and Laura, the two Wolverines. It seems that Krakoa itself found the joke pretty funny, though.
