1[[WMG: The series was created for a Mafia laundering scheme. No, seriously.]]²Internet detectives have unearthed that at least one man who worked on the show, Robert Genova, was reputed to have ties to the Mafia, and have ordered a hit on a former business partner (who was an adult film producer). Critics have noted that "Peppermint Park" struggles to fill its half-hour time slot, to the point of playing songs twice in succession, and even the opening theme at the end of some episodes. Neither quality nor successfully entertaining children seem to have been on the minds of whoever produced this abomination. The episodes seem to have been churned out as hastily as possible. A mafia laundering scheme frankly seems like a more reasonable explanation than the idea of anyone being unironically invested in this dumpster fire.
