[[WMG: The Goofy timeline in ''Outta Time'' is where the How To, George Geef, and Sports Goofy shorts take place]]
That’s why everyone is Goofy in them. George Geef is just some guy who looks like Goofy because of the circumstances.

[[WMG: Mickey would eventually ask Donald why do Huey, Dewey, and Louie live with him and the whereabouts of their mother]]

[[WMG: WesternAnimation/OswaldTheLuckyRabbit will eventually appear]]
Given all the occasional Disney cameos and even Walt Disney himself being mentioned a couple times, why not? And throw in a reference to VideoGame/EpicMickey while they're at it.
* Confirmed. He makes a brief cameo in the episode "Canned".

[[WMG: The series will wound up sharing a {{verse}} with WesternAnimation/DuckTales2017.]]
Looking at the official art style of the reboot, you can tell it's very similar to the style of Mickey Mouse 2013. Since Scrooge, Huey, Dewey and Louie have already appeared in Mickey's show, there could be a moment where Mickey appears in the new Ducktales.
** I believe it was mentioned on the trivia page for the reboot that Mickey wouldn't appear on the show.
*** Jossed! They're clearly separate continuites, with Scrooge, Donald and the triplets looking and acting different. The tone is also different, as these shorts have a zanier, DenserAndWackier humor than the reboot series. And these shorts have a NegativeContinuity whereas ''[=DuckTales=]'' is serialized.

[[WMG:This cartoon is a StealthSequel to the WesternAnimation/ClassicDisneyShorts.]]
Considering that both the original shorts and this show have NegativeContinuity, the lines between a proper sequel and SpiritualSuccessor is blurred.

[[WMG:There are actually multiple Mickeys and Minnies around the world that speak different languages]]
