5	[[WMG:''Braindead'' aka ''Dead Alive'' is set in the same universe as Peter Jackson's ''King Kong'', Zack Snyder's ''Dawn Of The Dead'', Michael Bay's ''The Rock'' and other kinetic action movies.]]
6	First off, there's obviously the Easter Egg in Jackson's Kong to the Sumatran Rat Monkey and of course the beginning of Braindead is on Skull Island. But second and more importantly, the movie has that same hyper bright look and large kinetic scale/size of other action oriented movies including horror ones so maybe it could very well be in a shared universe where good people come out on top and bad people get what they deserve.

9	Ultimately, it's a multi-stage process that ends with the victim turning into another Sumatran Rat Monkey. When we see Vera at the end, she looks sort of like a halfway point between a human and a rat monkey, especially since her skull became elongated and animal-like. The cycle only happens in full if you're bitten by a Rat Monkey, which is why only Vera went through with it.

12	We know Sumatran rat monkeys live on the ''[[Film/KingKong2005 King Kong]]'' remake's version of skull island from[[AllThereInTheManual A Natural History of Skull Island]], and the island is covered in ruins from a civilization destroyed by unknown means....

15	Just when you think Lionel and Paquita are free forever of the bloodshed, and are about to move on with their lives... [[HereWeGoAgain IT STARTS ALL OVER AGAIN.]] Once the music reaches a crescendo, we hear a biting sound. [[OutOfTheFryingPan YES. Paquita has bit Lionel. She was a zombie all along.]] And THAT'S NOT EVEN THE HALF OF IT. All the zombies wake up AGAIN, (yes, even Vera), only this time much more stronger than the preceding events could ever hope to describe, [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou and this time, they're coming for US. And there's nothing anybody in the world can do about it.]]
