----
!!''America's Most Eligible'' includes examples of:
* AllStarCast: In-universe example. ''All-Stars'' involves past memorable season contestants returning to the show to compete along with Jamie.
* AndNowForSomeoneCompletelyDifferent: Chapter 19 has a premium choice to show how Adam ended up betrayed and eliminated in the last season from his perspective.
* ArtifactTitle: [[spoiler:At the end of Book 2, Jamie gets engaged to their chosen love interest, meaning they'll no longer be "eligible" in Book 3.]]
* AscendedFan: Jamie is this after being a last-minute replacement for Whitney, the previous contestant who left before the show started.
** Derek's role on the show is as the "Super-Fan"; he lives up to it by repeatedly bringing up trivia points from previous seasons.
* BettyAndVeronica: The love interests are divided into this. The Bettys are friendly Derek and sweet Jen. The Veronicas are cynical Adam and abrasive Mackenzie.
* BigBad: Ivy Fisher serves as this in Book 1, being Jamie's biggest rival. Book 2 and the first part of Book 3 has Ivy and Vince as a BigBadDuumvirate, before Ivy [[TookALevelInKindness takes a level in kindness]] and Vince cements himself as the series' main antagonist.
* BookcasePassage: A premium scene with Derek in Chapter 2 has Jamie and Derek finding one in the study to a hidden room where there aren’t any cameras or microphones. It's found by titling a copy of “[[VisualNovel/ItLives Things That Live in the Woods]]” by Cora Pritchett.
* BowlingForRatings: The group date that Jamie goes on in Chapter 14 is at a blacklight bowling alley. whoever the loser is (Derek if you win or you if you lose) has to either do a sexy dance on the bar, streak down the block or chug the biggest drink.
* BreadEggsMilkSquick: The title of Book 2 Chapter 4 is "Sand, Sun, and Strife".
* TheBusCameBack: All of the contestants from Season 10 and All-Stars return for Wedding Edition.
* TheCameo:
** Two of the fans of the show are [[VisualNovel/TheFreshman Edgar]] and [[VisualNovel/ItLives Izzy]].
** A book does this as well. The book that opens the hidden bookcase passage is [[VisualNovel/ItLives ''Things That Live In The Woods'']] by Cora Pritchard.
** In Chapter 3 in a premium scene where you help Ivy get phone numbers for the challenge, one of the clubgoers is [[VisualNovel/LoveHacks Aiden]] and he's just as baked as before.
** The judges for the acting challenge in Chapter 17 are [[VisualNovel/RedCarpetDiaries Chris Winters and Thomas Hunt]].
* CardCarryingVillain: Jamie if they decide to go the Villain route.
* CatFight: Bianca and Teagan get into one in Book 1, Chapter 2 when they blame the other for ruining their contest drinks, putting them up for elimination. Choosing to break up the fight causes you to lose a point with Ryder.
* CharacterAlignment[[invoked]]: A first for a Choices game. InUniverse, during your first confessional, you can decide to be America’s Sweetheart, Villain, or Flirt. Book 2 introduces a new persona, the Wild Card, which involves mixing up the answers from the other personas.
* ConfessionCam: Chapter 1 has Jamie interviewed, with their statements deciding their reality show alignment.
* CuttingOffTheBranches: For All-Stars, even if you eliminated Bianca in favor of Teagan, she's still brought in for the new season. This seems to imply that she was the one picked to survive the first elimination.
* DecidedByOneVote: Book 1, Chapter 2 does this to Jamie, having won immunity and only having to vote in case of a tie, by having them be the tiebreaker vote between Teagan and Bianca.
* DevelopersForesight:
** Jen describes this happening InUniverse to the show. If a contestant takes the Audience Vote Immunity, that means whoever survives the next elimination is up for elimination again the following week even if they aren't in the Bottom Two, as shown in Chapter 7.
** In Book 2, Chapter 15, during the "questions" challenge, [[spoiler:Ivy accuses Jamie of being just as dishonest as she is. The Flirt and Villain answers will always be the same, but the Sweetheart answer will change depending on whether or not Jamie tried to sabotage anyone else during earlier challenges, such as playing dirty during the laser tag challenge or sabotaging Vince during the cooking challenge. If Jamie did commit sabotage earlier, the Sweetheart dialogue option is "I genuinely regret the mistakes I made." But if Jamie did ''not'' commit sabotage earlier, the Sweetheart dialogue option is, "I've been nothing but honest during my time on AME."]]
* EatingTheEyeCandy: If Jamie does the impromptu pool party, Lina is seen admiring Han’s muscles, which he is very happy to show off.
* EliminationCatchphrase: ''“You have been deemed... ineligible”''
* FaceHeelTurn: Book 1, Chapter 19 has the premium choice to see this happen from Adam's perspective in the last season as his friend Vince puts him up for elimination.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: ''All-Stars'' was hinted at as far back as Chapter 5 in a premium choice with Carson as he and Jamie roleplay him pitching show ideas to Piper.
* FissionMailed: At the end of Book 1 Chapter 10, [[spoiler:Jamie the protagonist gets voted off the show due to a "Double Elimination" twist. But the story doesn't end there; Jamie is sent to the Jury house in chapter 11, and then due to another twist, Jamie can then win a challenge in chapter 12 to make a "comeback" into the show.]]
* GameplayAndStorySegregation: You have to reach ally status with the other contestants to get their votes. If you don't, they'll vote for [[spoiler:Ivy]] in the finale regardless of what happens in the story. It becomes especially ridiculous when it comes to the three love interests.
** [[spoiler:Adam quits in order to keep Jamie from being eliminated and wishes them luck in stopping Ivy from winning... yet he'll still vote for Ivy if the player hasn't reached ally status with him.]]
** [[spoiler:Mackenzie becomes extremely angry when Jamie is voted out, lashing out at other contestants and making it her personal mission to find out who was responsible (who turns out to be Ivy)... and then votes for Ivy unless the player has reached ally status with her.]]
** [[spoiler:Even if you reveal to Derek that Ivy used him as her pawn and manipulated him into having a fake showmance, and despite the fact that he frequently talks about how much he admires Jamie, he still votes for Ivy if the player hasn't reached ally status with him.]]
** Conversely, in both the first and second books, if Jamie takes the option to talk to the Jury and says the right things, [[spoiler:Jamie can achieve Ally status with each of them, gaining their votes, regardless of what their relationship status is prior to this conversation and what has happened between them in the past.]]
* GuileHero: Jamie can decide to be nice, but at the same time manipulate the other contestants and the audience, even having to make choices on who stays or goes, considering future alliances.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: Jamie can be this if they're blonde and taking the Sweetheart path. Whitney, who is blonde, was the original “Girl Next Door” before she dropped out.
* HelloInsertNameHere: For this game, your character’s default name is Jamie. You can also name a male and female contestant, their default names being Adam and Mackenzie.
* ImNotHereToMakeFriends: Quite subverted with Chapter 11's name, “Here To Make Friends” where Jamie can take the opportunity to rebuild and repair friendships with the eliminated contestants.
* IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy: [[spoiler:If Jamie rejects their fiance in Book 3 for Bianca or Slater, they will have this reaction.]]
* LeastRhymableWord: Chapter 4 has Carson trying to compose a poem about the show but being unable to think of a rhyme for "eligible". Piper derisively suggests "unintelligible".
* MommasBoy: Answering “My mom is my only fan” wins a sympathy point with Han, since he also has a close relationship with his own mother, who has been supportive of his career from the beginning.
* MultipleEndings: In Book 3, there will be three possible endings that dictate how your wedding goes, depending on your "wedding score".
* NaiveNewcomer: Jamie gets cast as the replacement contestant by pure chance. Once inside, they get tips from Jen and Adam on how to survive the show.
* NecessarilyEvil: Going the Villain route gives you the "Necessary Evil" achievement.
* NoSuchThingAsBadPublicity: InUniverse. The principle of being labelled as the “Villain”, since the point is to be memorable to the audience.
* OnlyInMiami: The game and season are being shot in Miami, Florida.
* PanderingToTheBase: InUniverse, this is the reason for getting the cast into sexy bikinis in Chapter 5.
* ThePeterPrinciple: Carson does a pretty good job as a host in Book 1, resulting in him replacing [[MeanBoss Piper]] as showrunner in Book 2. However, it's shown that despite his charisma, he just isn't cut out for the high-stress task of running the show. Under his management, the show becomes very chaotic and a couple contestants get seriously injured. Pretty much all the contestants agree this job is above his level of competence.
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: The entire cast of the show is this. We have [[GirlNextDoor The Girl/Boy Next Door]] (Jamie), [[AllGirlsWantBadBoys The Bad Boy]] (Adam), [[NewAgeRetroHippie The Dreamer]] (Teagan), [[TallDarkAndHandsome The Rock Star]] (Ryder), [[SmugSuper The Hero]] (Zeke), [[LovableJock The Pro Athlete]] (Han), [[AlphaBitch The Swimsuit Model]] (Bianca), [[HardDrinkingPartyGirl The Party Girl]] (Lina), [[AscendedFanboy The Super Fan]] (Derek), [[{{Tomboy}} The Tough Girl]] (Mackenzie), and [[SouthernBelle The Debutante]] (Ivy). In addition we have a BeleagueredAssistant (Jen), ExtremeDoormat Host (Carson) and the MeanBoss (Piper)
* RealityTVShowMansion: The game's main setting is the large house that hosts the reality show.
* RomanceOnTheSet: Invoked. Jen warns Jamie to flirt with everyone and avoid falling for anyone.
* ShoutOut:
** A female Jamie can buy a premium dress titled Film/DirtyDancing.
** In Book 3, if Jamie is the Wildcard in the first confessional of Book 3, the achievement is VisualNovel/VeilOfSecrets.
* StaticRoleExchangeableCharacter: In Book 3, the contestant who develops feelings towards Jamie is either Bianca or Slater, depending on who Jamie is closer to romantically in the previous two books. If Jamie's equally close to both, the contestant with feelings towards Jamie matches the gender of Jamie's fiance.
* StoryBranchFavoritism: Books 1 and 2 favor Ivy haters, since she's the BigBad of Book 1, as a result, you lose points with her more often, and even in Book 2, since Slater likes you at the start, it's easier to reach ally status with him than it is with Ivy.
* SweetAndSourGrapes:
** At the end of Book 1, [[spoiler:if not enough jury members have reached "Allies" status, they'll vote for Ivy to win Season 10. However, Jamie still wins the Audience Favorite vote, so Jamie is still invited back for the next season.]]
** At the end of Book 2, [[spoiler:if not enough jury members have reached "Allies" status, they'll vote for Jamie's partner instead of Jamie--but because partners share victories and losses this season, Jamie and their partner will both win the season anyway.]]
* SymbolicCastFadeout: Being a novel inspired by game shows, the novel has the eliminated cast member being faded out from the full body cast picture at the end of the chapter they were eliminated. [[spoiler:Jamie's full body picture faded in when they are returned to the competition by a twist]].
* TakeAThirdOption: During the cat fight between Bianca and Teagan in Bok 1, Chapter 2, you can take one person's side, but also have the option of not getting involved at all by backing away slowly. It takes a point off Ivy while giving a point to Ryder.
* TakeOurWordForIt: InUniverse, while Jamie was at a salsa dance off with Teagan/Bianca, Adam and Mackenzie, the others at the house had their own dance off. When Jamie asks, Derek asks if they've ever seen Zeke line dance, which Jamie hasn't. Derek says “Then I envy you.”
* UnexpectedCharacter: InUniverse, both Jamie and Adam are these. Jamie is brought in as a last-minute replacement for Whitney, who quit the show and then was fired anyway after being talked into coming back, while Adam was the previous season’s runner-up and isn't introduced until taping begins.
* UnsportsmanlikeGloating: Jamie can act like this after winning the volleyball game in Book 1, Chapter 5. Saying “We totally destroyed you!” is the rudest option, losing two points each with Bianca/Teagan and Adam.
* VotedOffTheIsland: A contestant gets eliminated through voting between the contestants. The contestant who wins immunity is only required to vote if the bottom two reach a tie.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: Whitney was originally the Girl Next Door until she pulled a ScrewThisImOuttaHere. Just as Jamie talks her back into the show, Piper throws her out anyway.
** Either Teagan or Bianca (player's choice) gets Eliminated on the first night.
* WhamEpisode:
** Book 1, Chapter 10 is a Double Elimination. The people eliminated are whoever was spared with Teagan and Bianca back in Chapter 2... [[spoiler:and Jamie!]]
** Book 1, Chapter 16 has Mackenzie revealing to Jamie who was the one to vote her off: [[spoiler: Ivy.]]
** All-Stars Chapter 1 does this with the reveal of two other surprise contestants: Vince, Adam's former friend, and Ivy, your own former friend.
* WhamLine: Lina drops one in Chapter 6 regarding why Jamie is in the show.
--> "Jamie is sleeping with the crew!"
* WhatTheHellHero: Teagan or Bianca (whomever the player eliminates) will be upset at Jamie for voting them out.
* WinBackTheCrowd: InUniverse, the current season was considered a dud until the conflict between Jamie and Ivy picked up.
