''To Do List'' is an indie-, horror-, adventure and PointAndClickGame made for the Ludum Dare 38.

You play as an unnamed cheerful person who lives his days away on a little island in the middle of nowhere. All you have to do is complete the chores on your to-do-list.

All day, every day.

Nothing to [[{{Foreshadowing}} lose your mind over]], right?

The game can be downloaded for free [[https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/to-do-list here]].
----
!''To Do List'' provides examples of:
* AllJustADream: A possible way to interpret the game's plot.
* AmbiguouslyHuman: Although the main character ''looks'' like a normal human, there are several sprites in which his face seems to...''[[NightmareFace contort]]'' for lack of a better word. Not to mention he lives in an EldritchLocation, completely alone. [[spoiler: And he apparently harvests organs...]]
* AmbiguousSituation: Very little of what goes on in the game is actually explained. There's never a reason given for why the main character is stranded on an island floating through space, why he only does his chores each day, why he's all alone [[spoiler: why he murdered Mike or what the fleshy things he harvests are]].
* AxCrazy: [[spoiler: The MC absolutely ''loses his shit'' when he sees the giant, blue worm in his yard, hacking away at it with an axe while snapping at it to shut up. He then tells "Thomas", the scarecrow, that he's become dissatisfied with his work and stabs it with a knife. And if Mike's any indication, this isn't the first time this has happened.]]
* BrokenSmile: The main character sports this after [[spoiler: he kills the blue worm. It devolves more and more into a SlasherSmile after that.]]
* EldritchLocation: The island floating through space, where the main characters house and garden are located.
* GainaxEnding: [[spoiler: After butchering the blue worm, "killing" his scarecrow and talking to the corpse of his former housemate, the main character goes to sleep again, commenting on how, even though the daily counter has run out, it's still not the end for him. The counter goes crazy and the main character wakes up, remarking that it is time to harvest. Checking the to-do-list reveals that the only task for the day is to "havrest the crops". When the player leaves the house, the crops in the field have grown into hideous, pulsating fleshy...things. The main character harvests them, while telling them to not cry and be silent with a grotesque grin on his face. Mike's grave and the compost heap have grown similar organ-like "fruits". After every last one has been collected, the ending screen shows the main character cradling the blobs in his arms, a demented grin on his face.]]
* GoMadFromTheIsolation: Even before the reveal that [[spoiler: he killed the only other person on the island]], it's not too hard to notice that the main character isn't all there. He casually compares the color red to blood, mentions several times that he cannot remember his time before the island, goes off on weird tangents and [[spoiler: reacts very violently to things that annoy him, like the broken radio.]]
* NiceGuy: The main character is a happy, polite young man with a lot of imagination. [[spoiler: Until Day 2 rolls around.]]
* NoNameGiven: MC remains without a name for the entirety of the game. Justified, as he doesn't really have anyone to give it to. And given the ending, [[spoiler: it's possible he just doesn't remember it anymore.]]
* PrecisionFStrike: [[spoiler: MC drops one after he "tickles" the blue worm to "sleep" with an axe.]]
--> [[spoiler: ''"I will not wake you up. Sleep for a while... Then f*** off."'']]
* SlasherSmile: Even before [[spoiler: the blue worm shows up]], the main character has an eerie habit of smiling with just a little too much teeth.
* StepfordSmiler: It's heavily implied that the main character's cheerful attitude is merely a mask to hide the broken, lonely man he has become.
