Necropolis is a Roguelike Procedurely Generated DungeonCrawler created and published by Harebrained Schemes who are best known for the Videogame/ShadowrunReturns series of VideoGames. Players take control of adventurers who have just arrived at the titular Necropolis for reasons that are never explained. Players go through the Necropolis level by level performing tasks for the Brazen Head in order to buy equipment. The game was recently updated and added a new character class and new level pieces for the dungeon for variety as well as new traps.

!! This game provides examples of:
* AndYourRewardIsClothes: Player can use tokens to buy Dyes which essentially are new color schemes for the character models.
* BoringButPractical: Crossbows fall under this category especially if you've mastered the art of head shots.
* DeadpanSnarker: The Brazen Head comes across as this at times especially when you die.
* DeathTrap: The Necropolis is referred as such at times by the Brazen Head, needless to say you will die A LOT.
* ExcusePlot: The reason why the player is at the Necropolis is never explained but one can assume it's to loot the place. And you're not the first to try. Lampshaded, by how the Brazen Head invariably starts a run with some exposition about the Necropolis but ends up invariably getting bored and skipping the rest.
* FragileSpeedster: The Blackguard class is this, speedy but not much damage or health.
* FriendlyEnemy: The Brazen Head's purpose is to guard and maintain the Necropolis, but is quite happy to give you money for assisting his duties.
* MightyGlacier: The Brute on the other hand, is high damage with more health but less agile.
* MultipleChoicePast: Everytime you load a new game you're provided a new and possibly contradictory explanation of how the Necropolis came to be.
* NintendoHard: Be warned, expect to die a lot.
* PermaDeath: An integral part of the game, every time you die you earn progress toward Tokens of Favor which you can use to buy Codexes or new dye jobs.
