[[folder:Dreamtalia]]
* AnIcePerson: Devil. Russia also becomes one when the former passes on his powers to him.
* BadBoss: Reve physically abuses World, and threatens to use his intestines in its and Italy's pasta dinner. And that's when he's mildly annoyed.
** He also beats up Devil for his failure to protect Temperance. The next time we see him, he's severely weakened to the point that he only has enough energy left in him to pass on his powers to Russia before he dies.
* BatterUp: America has a studded baseball bat in the dreamworld, a subtle MythologyGag to his 2p Nyotalia self.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: Mused on in the opening, and the tagline of the game.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Your loved one may be kind to you in your dreams, but it might also be a trap.
* BigNo: Finland when he sees the Factory burning and realises that his Christmas toy helpers are still inside.
* ButterflyOfDoom: A yellow butterfly can be seen flying in place early on in the dreamworld, and the heroes [[LampshadedTrope lampshade]] its appearance. According to WordOfGod, it represents the impending doom and death that may soon befall the Fauchereve's victims.
* ChainsawGood: World (an America in a Revolution uniform), a servant of the fauchereve, wields one.
* ChestMonster: A lot of them are present in the game and are often used for grinding.
* CreepyBlueEyes: Reve possesses these whenever he's masquerading as someone.
* CreepyDoll: Present among the creepy toys in the Factory.
* DreamLand: The major setting so far takes place within that of Italy's. It is also the place of introduction for the game's BigBad, the Fauchereve.
* {{Cutscene}}: Used for scripted long dialogue/action events. They are sometimes interactive when choices need to be made, which could potentially lead to a bad end.
* DividedWeFall: If you choose to have Germany ignore England's claims of the supernatural during the meeting, [[spoiler:everyone else will also ignore him and leave to find their own solution. This results in a bad ending, where the victims die and the remaining nations fall one by one to the Fauchereve]].
* EnemyMine: The game takes place in the [=WW2=] arc of the original webcomic/manga/anime, when the Axis and Allies were still enemies. However, due to the other nations falling victim to the fauchereve (starting with Italy), they forget their fight and immediately join forces to combat this new threat.
* FaceRevealingTurn: The infamous "sOMetHinG wRoNG, [=CApTaiN=]?" scene.
* FearlessFool: Italy seems surprisingly okay with following instructions from a transparent reflection of Germany.
* FinalSpeech: Hermit gives a rather long one to our heroes just before he dies.
* GottaCatchThemAll: Japan is ''very'' interested in collecting all of the Arcana Major cards. Which belong to France, by the way.
* IJustWantToHaveFriends: The Fauchereve's reason for wanting the kidnapped nations under his control.
* IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight: Played straight. In order to help the brainwashed nations regain their true sense of self, you must battle them first.
* InSeriesNickname: "Reve" for the Fauchereve. He introduces himself as such to the heroes, who also uses it to refer to him. It's much easier to say, to be honest, otherwise this page would get a bit repetitive.
* IWantToBeARealMan: World's reason for snapping.
* MeaningfulName: "Fauchereve" means dream reaper in French.
* MirrorMonster: The Fauchereve.
* MirrorScare: A reflection of Italy transforms into Shadow Italy when startled, frightening Germany and the audience.
* MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily: The Fauchereve in its original form sure does have a lot of big, pointy teeth. It's also another visual indicator that he's impersonating as someone.
* MultipleEndings: The game is slated to have several. So far, two bad endings exist, with one of them being a NonStandardGameOver.
* NonMaliciousMonster: According to WordOfGod, the Fauchereve/Shadow Italy just wants friends. Unfortunately, those who stay asleep for too long under its influence get their souls detached from their bodies, which then gradually rot away.
* NotSoExtinct: According to England, fauchereves were largely thought to be extinct. Until now.
* PoliteVillainsRudeHeroes: So far the Fauchereve has mostly been seen caring to his friends and luring people into paradise, while the heroes accidentally kill off one of the dream inhabitants without much purpose and are tempted to walk away from a prisoner just to try to find Italy.
* PsychopathicManchild: The Fauchereve is a Type II. He just wants friends, but kidnapping and manipulating people into staying with him until they die is not the best way to go about it.
* PutOnABus: China becomes separated from the others by falling into and becoming trapped in a different ice cave, which makes him absent from the Temperance arc. He [[TheBusCameBack comes back]] at the end of it and is heavily implied to have a more important role in the next arc, in which he becomes manipulated by the Fauchereve.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: World's eyes turn red when he's called a pawn, a major BerserkButton for him.
* RougeAnglesOfSatin: Admittedly, the grammar and spelling is not perfect.
* RunningGag: England falling down on his back and being unable to get up.
** Russia [[OnceDoneNeverForgotten repeatedly bringing up the subject]] of [[spoiler: him getting stabbed by Fauchereve China]], to the point that the others have to yell at him to stop.
* SecretlyDying:
--> "It's likely this has all been happening for some time right under our noses."
* ShoutOut: America references ''ComicBook/TheAvengers'' and namedrops ''Franchise/ResidentEvil'' in his dialogue.
** World quotes [[Franchise/{{Pokemon}} Team Rocket]]'s motto while trying to stop the heroes. As does China/The Hanged Man before he battles our heroes.
** Hermit's death speech has references to ''VideoGame/AmericanMcGeesAlice''.
** If you look at Japan's inventory, he has an oni mask and an onigiri. Their descriptions are a clear reference to ''VideoGame/HetaOni''.
** In the shop area of Temperance's ice castle, there are references to other Hetalia fanworks, like ''Fanfic/AufWiedersehenSweetheart'' and ''Regret''.
* SlasherSmile: The Fauchereve usually sports one.
** Finland also has one while brainwashed into Chariot.
* SnowMeansDeath: Hermit, a Japan doppelganger, dies in a snowy landscape early on in the game.
* TarotMotifs: Interestingly for this trope, their personalities don't always match up with the meaning of the tarot cards. That doesn't make it any less [[RuleOfCool awesome]], though.
** The nations inhabiting the dream world represent cards in the Major Arcana. They may have originated from France's deck of tarot cards, which he mentions having been lost when he entered the dream world. When they die, they pass on their powers to their real-world selves. So far, only (in ascending order): World (America), Hermit (Japan), Devil (Russia), Moon (Korea) and have appeared.
** The brainwashed nations, which are linked with their dream selves, also follow the Major Arcana. This list includes Chariot (Finland), Temperance (Canada) and China (The Hanged Man).
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: The fauchereve can take the form of people its victims admire, such as loved ones. However, those with enough willpower to see past the illusion can see its original form consumed in shadows.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: Poor Moon. He seemed like a pretty cool guy after being defeated by our heroes, but then he gets killed in his next appearance.
* WhatTheHellHero: America kills Hermit because he couldn't comprehend why Hermit was afraid of him.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Well, they ''did'' leave Finland back at the toy factory...
* YourDaysAreNumbered: The victims of the fauchereve only have a certain amount of time left before their mind disconnects with their body, killing them.
* YouHaveFailedMe: The Fauchereve severely injures Devil for failing to protect Temperance.

[[folder:Dreamtalia: Chapter Zero]]
* ForegoneConclusion: Given that this is a prequel to Dreamtalia, it's pretty much inferred that Reve's previous victim did not survive the ordeal. Indeed, the very first scene has him mourning over Vanya's death.
* YouthfulFreckles: Reve sports these in his "human" form.
