''Kill It with Fire'', created by Casey Donnellan Games LLC and published by Creator/TinyBuild, is a 2020 indie PC action game about killing spiders through increasingly excessive means. Whether it be by frying pan, flames, or artillery, the goal of each level is to make sure that no spider is left behind, no matter the consequences.

In 2023 a follow-up, ''Kill It With Fire 2'', [[https://store.steampowered.com/app/2357000/Kill_It_With_Fire_2/ was announced]].

!! ''Kill It with Fire'' contains examples of:

* ActionBomb: The aptly-named "exploding spiders", which blow up a few seconds after they're killed.
* AerosolFlamethrower: One of the earliest obtained weapons in the game is an aerosol can with a lighter. In spite of the early point in the game it is obtained, as well as the weapon's improvised nature, it's useful throughout the entire game.
* AnvilOnHead: Dropping an anvil on a spider is an optional objective in "Barnstormer". Pulling it off gives the player the "[[WesternAnimation/LooneyTunes That's All Folks]]" achievement.
* AutobotsRockOut: The "Arachno Gauntlet" bonus missions are set to intense, epic rock music.
* AxCrazy: The player character is bent on hunting down and killing every spider in town, collateral damage be damned.
* BigCreepyCrawlies: The spiders are quite large, around the size of a human's hand. [[spoiler:In TheStinger's GainaxEnding, radioactive spiders the size of ''[[AttackOfThe50FootWhatever buildings]]'' can be seen clinging to a OminousFloatingSpaceship]] overhead.
* CockroachesWillRuleTheEarth: [[spoiler:In TheStinger, set three months after the spiders got nuked, the player has to put down a swarm of cockroaches that have moved into the irradiated city]].
* EverythingExplodesEnding: [[spoiler:After the nuclear bomb is activated in the final level, the entire city is engulfed in the blast, killing all of the spiders.]]
* FinalSolution: The point of the game is to exterminate every single spider from an infested city, [[spoiler:even if it means nuking the entire city.]]
* GainaxEnding: In TheStinger, after the player [[spoiler:repels a swarm of cockroaches, an OminousFloatingSpaceship appears overhead (covered in [[AttackOfThe50FootWhatever gigantic spiders]]) and teleports them aboard. The screen goes black, and a message appears: "[[SequelHook The Exterminator Will Return]]."]]
* GiantSpider: As noted, the spiders are much larger than any real life spider, even dwarfing the Goliath Bird Eater. Furthermore, [[spoiler:the ending features alien spiders bigger than humans]].
* InterfaceScrew: The web spiders introduced in "Garden of Evil" shoot web projectiles at you. If they score a hit, your vision is partially blocked for a few seconds, giving them time to get away.
* JumpScare: Jumping spiders [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin jump at you]] when disturbed.
* KillItWithFire: It ''is'' the name of the game, after all. In the first level of the game, you are given a lighter and aerosol can to burn spiders alive. Later weapons include gasoline, {{Molotov Cocktail}}s, and a ''rocket-propelled grenade launcher''.
* MolotovCocktail: One of many tools available to the player for clearing out spiders.
* NoBodyLeftBehind: Radioactive and zombie spiders melt into nothingness when killed.
* NuclearMutant: Radioactive spiders, which can resurrect dead spiders of any species as [[OurZombiesAreDifferent zombie spiders]].
* ScareChord: Whenever spiders are running around, the soundtrack consists entirely of these.
* ShoutOut:
** The Neighbor from ''VideoGame/HelloNeighbor'' appears in a painting in the closet containing the bug tracker.
** An achievement for burning money in a hidden safe is called "[[Film/TheDarkKnight Sending a Message]]."
* SpiderSwarm: But of course, considering the emphasis on spider murder. Special note goes to the Arachno Gauntlet, a bonus TimedMission in each level to kill a large group of spiders.
* StuffBlowingUp: There are multiple bomb weapons available to use, but the one that takes the cake is [[spoiler:the nuclear bomb that blows up the town at the end of the game.]]
