''Disney's PK: Out of the Shadows'' is an ActionAdventure game by Creator/{{Ubisoft}} based on WesternAnimation/DonaldDuck, more specifically his European superhero incarnation from the pages of ''ComicBook/PaperinikNewAdventures''. It was released for the Platform/PlayStation2 and Platform/NintendoGameCube in 2002.

The story involves Donald, who works as a lowly security guard in the Ducklair tower. After a dream involving Daisy and his nephews teasing him, Donald wishes he could become a superhero. An artificial intelligence, One, grants his wish--but Donald will have to learn the ropes on the job, as the alien Evronians are invading Earth!
----
!!This game contains examples of:
* AlienInvasion: The Evronians are hostile duck-like aliens who want to conquer Earth, and only PK stands in their way.
* AllThereInTheManual: [[RegionalBonus The PAL version]] of the game includes a short comic book that, while telling a different version of the introduction of the game, explains some things that the game glossed over, like why Donald is working at the Ducklair Tower and what is One. The biggest difference between them is that the Evronians in this comic aren't led by Zondag like in the videogame but rather by the WickedCultured scientist and overlord Gorthan, who doesn't even appear in the game. It's unclear if this is a case of WhatCouldHaveBeen for the game or the comic's authors based themselves on the comic book ''Pikappa'' to make it and weren't told by Ubisoft that he wouldn't appear in it.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: Donald wishes to be a superhero and gets exactly that, with all the danger that comes with it.
* BigGood: One. He is the one who recruits Donald, gives him his abilities, and mentors him.
* ChargedAttack: Donald can supercharge the energy blast from his zap-gun, and it is often necessary to do so in order to destroy the energy shield around some enemies.
* DeflectorShields: Elite Evronians are protected with these, which require a charged shot in order to dispel for a few seconds, and get a volley of normal shots in before it regenerates.
* DoNotRunWithAGun: Pretty much all the opponents with ranged attacks just stand in place and shoot. Averted with Donald himself.
* EnergyWeapon: All of the energy attacks are portrayed as discrete green projectiles instead of continuous beams.
* EverythingFades: Defeated enemies instantly disappear, only leaving a pick-up behind. Destroyed environmental objects likewise have their debris fade before even hitting the ground.
* GottaCatchEmAll: Each level (excluding the boss battles and the final level) has six scientists that have been captured by the Evronians and need to be rescued within a time limit or else they'll be teleported away, forcing the player to replay the level in order to try to save them again. Only after 40 scientists have been saved the player can play the final level.
* PivotalBoss: Scientific General Zoster.
* RuleOfCool: Subverted. One gives Donald a new voice just so he can sound a lot cooler, but while it makes him easier to understand it isn't better than it's normal one.
* SpreadShot: While the normal energy shots from Evronian troops are easily dodgeable, they can also occasionally fire a wide spread of them that needs to be jumped over.
* SuperEmpowering: One gives Donald a super suit, a new voice, and weapons.
* WrittenSoundEffect: Since this is a comic book-styled game with cel-shaded graphics, some effects like KRAK or ZONK are also written out on screen.
