* BeamMeUpScotty / CowboyBebopAtHisComputer: The movie's title. People and even [[http://tvlistings.zap2it.com/tv/tiny-toon-adventures-how-i-spent-my-summer-vacation/EP00080953?aid=zap2it TV guides]] tend to think "Summer" is in the title, even though it's really not.
* DirectToVideo: It's even lampshaded multiple times in the movie! Notice how the characters specifically say "video" and not "movie". In practice, it's more like an OVA for an anime in terms of quality.
* EditedForSyndication: Several scenes were cut or shortened down in the four-part televised version.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: Took over 20 years for the movie to be released on DVD. Between then, the film was last legally released on VHS in 1998, and the film aired on Creator/KidsWB, Creator/{{Nicktoons}} and years later, Creator/TheHub.
* MilestoneCelebration: Of a sort. In one scene, while looking at a road map, Plucky predicts they'll make it to Happy World Land on April 6, 2021. On that very day, Twitter user [[https://twitter.com/Yotomoe1/status/1379304410900271105 Yotome]] celebrated that, similar to the date of [[Recap/TheSimpsonsS6E19LisasWedding Lisa's Wedding]].
* NonSingingVoice: Averted when Creator/CharlieAdler does sing for Buster Bunny. However, Buster's Dueling Banjos musical number was done by Creator/RobPaulsen.
** Also Hamton's father Wade Pig who was voiced by Jonathan Winters, his singing voice was done by Joe Alaskey.
* WorkingTitle: The original title of the video was ''How I Spent My '''Summer''' Vacation''. A similar shortening would happen to ''[[WesternAnimation/WakkosWish It's a Wakko, Wakko, Wakko, Wakko Wish]]''.
