* ColbertBump: His ''Top 25 VideoGame/NoMoreHeroes Bosses'' video lead to the game series becoming more popular among his viewers among the several other times he had talked about the games.
* CreatorBacklash: Doesn't think too highly of most of his videos before ''Top 10 Nostalgic Animated Shows'' especially the text-based countdowns he had worked on. In particular he has grown to really dislike his double top five, his Worst Pokemon list, and ''Top Ten Saddest Video Game Moments''.
* CreatorBreakdown: During the summer of 2014, Alex's laptop, 3DS, and iPod were stolen, thus being the catalyst for a planned Pokemon-themed month of videos getting cancelled.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: ''Top Ten Saddest Video Game Moments'' is no longer available on his channel.
* MemeRoleReprise: He and Creator/LizzieFreeman would redub a fanmade ''WebAnimation/TheAmazingDigitalCircus'' animation as their roles of Caine and Pomni respectively, where [[https://twitter.com/alexrochonva/status/1719262178841133492 Caine and Pomni rob a bank]].
* PromotedFanboy: He loves old Rare-style 3D platformers like VideoGame/BanjoKazooie and ''VideoGame/DonkeyKong64''. He had a role in [[VideoGame/FionaFrighteningAndTheWickedWardrobe a game made in honor of them]], but that game was eventually cancelled.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** Apparently, [=RabbidLuigi=] got the idea to make his Top Fifteen Shocking Moments in Video Games came from a Skype chat with The Autarch. Autarch was working on a said list and was struggling with the script. In the end, he dropped the project and it was picked up by Rabbid. So originally Autarch would've made the list instead, and while Rabbid made a good job with it, it still could have been interesting.
** Was going to do an entire month dedicated to ''{{Franchise/Pokemon}}'' themed countdowns but the aforementioned CreatorBreakdown mentioned above put a wrench in those plans.
** Outside of his countdowns he did a series called ''Awesome Video Game Music'' which showcased his favorite songs in video games. Originally he was planning on making the theme for Gruntilda's Lair from ''VideoGame/BanjoKazooie'' his final entry in the series as it was his favorite piece of video game music at one point. However he ended up placing it in the series long before its conclusion. Similarly he had wanted Father and Son from ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolid4GunsOfThePatriots'' to be his final entry but it never got uploaded in the series since he quietly abandoned it.
** There are actually several countdown topics that he had interest in making but as of right now has never got around to them since he has retired his countdowns.
