* AuthorsSavingThrow:
** The author opens Chapter 21 by stating that [[ArcFatigue the events of the therapy sessions have actually only taken about 2 days of in-universe time,]] which is a reasonable length of time even if it's dragging from our perspective.
** One of the common criticisms about the story is that the readers actually ''never'' saw the fallout of the girls' friends and acquaintances. However, there are some moments, such as Margo talking to Lynn. Later chapters have rectified that by showing the girls confront their former friends, flashbacks showing the break up of their friendships, and more details are given on the break up of their friendship and the bullying the girls suffer.
*** Chapter 38 has Leni confronting Becky and Mandee about her fallout with them. Becky and Mandee both start to avoid Leni when they learn of the incident with her brother being hospitalized. Tired of being alone, Leni goes to talk to them; they were uncomfortable with her presence and lied, so they don't have to spend time with her. Leni, angry, confronts them on their lie, saying while she does deserve the cold shoulder, they could ask if she was ok instead of avoiding her. Becky and Mandee admit to Leni's point and say they were uncomfortable being around her for what she did to her brother. While they both see that Leni is remorseful for her actions, they say they can't forgive her right now unless her brother forgives her.
*** In Chapter 41, we see during a flashback the fallout between Lori and her friends, with Lori's friend Whitney at first comforting her when she was crying, only to become disgusted with Lori when she learns the full story. Whitney and the rest of Lori's friends unfriended her and started to bully her, only stopping because of a school assembly where the teachers had proof of their bullying and punish them.
** Another criticism has been that the sisters have yet to seriously try reconciling with Lincoln. However, this is largely due to the very long length of the story compared to the amount of time spent showing the forgiveness process, which has only just begun. Also, during the first half of the story, Lincoln was recovering both physically and mentally before the girls can even try to reconnect with him. The girls had tried to apologize to him before, and it became clear to both the parents and girls that he needed time to recover from the trauma he suffered before they can ask for his forgiveness. Because the story is longer than many novels and has lasted for almost 4 years, it's taken a long time to reach the point where the family starts mending ties.
* OutdatedByCanon: The author has stated in a note in chapter 39 that several aspects of this fic have not aged well with later official episodes of the show.
** This story shows Lincoln, Lynn, and Luan going to the same school (a K-8 school), when later seasons prove that they go to separate schools (elementary, middle and high school).
** Benny no longer speaks to Luan for her role in beating up Lincoln. In the actual show, Benny becomes Luan's boyfriend at the end of "Stage Plight".
** One of the girls' punishments is being forced to visit Aunt Ruth every weekend, but combined with EarlyInstallmentWeirdness, the later episode "Ruthless People" shows Lana being the only one who enjoys visiting Ruth.
** This story claims Lucy was born with blonde hair. In canon, while she ''has'' been depicted as blonde before in "Back in Black," she's been later established as having black hair ever since she was born as depicted in ''WesternAnimation/TheLoudHouseMovie'' during the "Life is Better Loud" scene.
