2** Has one in the multimedia DistaffCounterpart ''Kotodama Shoujo'', a series about high school girls teaming up and forming rap groups to become the number one posse in their school. In addition, the series ambassador is KEN THE 390, who previously composed "BATTLE BATTLE BATTLE". However it runs in a different format than ''Hypmic'' in that it's more of a web series.
3** From the same label as ''Kotodama Shoujo'', avex, there is also ''Music/ParadoxLive'', featuring popular voice actors and a handful of Utaite singers such as 96neko and Shima (of [=UraShimaSakataSen=] fame).
4* MemeAcknowledgement: [=HypRice=][[note]]in Japan, [=HypMic=] is commonly known as ヒプマイ ("Hipumai") and AlternateCharacterReading produces ヒプ米 (also "Hipumai")[[/note]] became a real thing in March 2022 after being MemeticMutation in the Japanese fandom for a while. As for precisely what it entails, it's ''koshihikari'' rice that has been exposed to ''Hypnosis Mic'' music.
5* NewbieBoom: While Hypnosis Mic had a relatively good start, the rap battle between Fling Posse and Matenrou, the two most popular divisions in the franchise thus far, attracted a lot of fans while it was going on. Other notable moments for newbie booms are the airing of the anime and the 2nd division rap battle (both delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic).
6* PortmanteauSeriesNickname: This music project is often shortened as Hypmic by fans.
7* YouSoundFamiliar: Yuki Sakakihara voiced Aogiri Bojo in the "Fight For Your Right" and "Don't Play No Game That I Can't Win" drama track, before being cast as Jyushi Aimono of Bad Ass Temple.
