2	** Brendan O'Brien reprises his roles as Crash Bandicoot, Doctor N. Gin and Tiny Tiger.

5	** The secret level 31 "Hot Coco" has a fully functional button for it, located in the secret warp room, but it can't be accessed under normal circumstances. You ''can'' make it appear, however, via a glitch that allows you to get more crystals and other items than intended; get at least 31 crystals and the level button will mysteriously appear in the sixth warp room.
6	** The reason for those stacks of iron crates at the end of the yellow gem path in "Dino Might!" is that in development, a secret portal was located past the first stack, as demonstrated in the leaked alpha build. The taller stack was added because beyond it, there's no collision detection on the ground.
7	** The purple gem path in "Tomb Time" was originally a 'hard' path whose entrance door was set on a timer and stayed locked if it wasn't reached quick enough, explaining why it doesn't use a platform like every other gem path does. The purple gem path was initially in "Gone Tomorrow" and even when it was replaced by the green one, it's still named 'purple' internally. The alpha version confirms these oddities.

10	** For the villains: Uka Uka, Dr. Nefarious Tropy, and Dingodile.
11	* SameVoiceTheirEntireLife: Cortex turns into a baby due to the Time Twister's malfunction. He's still voiced by Creator/ClancyBrown, but he uses a different tone of voice to better fit a (talking) baby.
12	* TroubledProduction: Near the end of the game's development, the team had to finish the game in the hallways of their office space as the actual office space was given to [[Creator/InsomniacGames another creative team]]. Also, [[DyeingForYourArt the team was left without air conditioning during the summer of the game's release and temperatures were reaching up to 100°F on a daily basis]], which caused their servers to shut down multiple times until someone snuck a portable AC machine into the building.

14	** According to prototype versions of the game leaked online, the music used for "[[PassThroughTheRings Rings of Power]]" was originally intended to be used for [[CoolBoat the Jet Ski levels]], before they had another song composed specifically for them.
