Context Trivia / CastlevaniaLordsOfShadow2

* ActorAllusion:
** Creator/RobertCarlyle had previously played Durza in Film/Eragon, who also happened to be an undead magic-user similar to Dracula.
** Alucard has a wolf motif, which is fitting when you consider that his voice-actor Creator/RichardMadden was Robb Stark, also known as "The Young Wolf".
*** Tying into this retroactively and crossing into HilariousInHindsight, is the fact that Robb starks' brother Jon Snow gets called the "White Wolf" in later seasons of Game of Thrones.
* ActingForTwo: Creator/RobertCarlyle provides voices for both Dracula and
* AscendedMeme: Of a sort. The Crissaegrim earned a reputation as being a GameBreaker in Symphony. Fittingly enough, it serves as Alucard's default weapon in this continuity.
* NoDubForYou: Even though VideoGame/CastlevaniaLordsOfShadow had been dubbed to Japanese sometime after its initial release, both the interquel and the sequel, for whatever reason, could not boast of the same. Sure, they've been subbed, but dubbed?
* TheOtherDarrin: Matthew Clancy replaces Jason Sampson in his role of the Chupacabras.
* PanderingToTheBase: During the tutorial chapter, Gabriel delivers the memetic "What is a man?" line from Symphony of the Night with no clear context.
* TroubledProduction: An anonymous employee of Mercury Steam sent out a letter detailing the impressively enormous amounts of ExecutiveMeddling by head of studio Enric Álvarez. According to this employee, Álvarez's ego supposedly grew out of control after the success of the first Lords of Shadow, to the point he didn't care at all about the visions of the artists and programmers in the team. It doesn't help that over thirty members of the staff were fired shortly after the game was released. These accounts would later be disputed, but multiple employees complaining about Álvarez and the studio management following the production of VideoGame/MetroidDread several years later suggests [=LOS2=] may have faced similar issues.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Many things were cut, such as a final boss fight with a giant seven-headed serpent-like creature, implied to be Satan's true form, and a playable dragon form.
** One of Alucard's abilities in Revelations, the Timeless Vision, was originally intended to be Dracula's.
** The Navigators would also be Dracula's means of transportation, but were scrapped in favor of the Map Rooms.
** One of the relics -- called Stolas' Feathers -- was scrapped mid-production and its ExperienceBooster properties were given to the Stolas' Clock relic instead.
** A text file from the game's data reveals Victor was planned to be called Julius.
