* CareerResurrection: After their career fluctuated with the controversial Tsubusa Chronicle and xxxHolic endings, the negative reception of Anime/BloodC and their newer works which are a hit-or-miss, CLAMP released the sequel of Cardcaptor Sakura in 2016 which earned good sales and a 2018 anime series with the old cast and staff returning.
* TheOtherDarrin:
** For the Japanese cast, due to Creator/TomokoKawakami dying of ovarian cancer in 2011, Creator/SakiFujita becomes the second voice actress for Rika.
** The original series had a case of DuelingDubs with the English releases, with three voice casts to choose from overall. For Clear Card, the dub was instead done in-house by Funimation. Amusingly enough, however, the dub combines this with MythologyGag -- the new voice actors for Sakura and Shaoran are playing the original counterparts of their roles from Manga/TsubasaReservoirChronicle.
* RoleReprise:
** Returning from the Cardcaptor Sakura TV series and theatrical films are Creator/SakuraTange as Sakura Kinomoto, Creator/MotokoKumai as Shaoran Li, Creator/AyaHisakawa and Creator/MasayaOnosaka as Kero, Creator/HideyukiTanaka as Fujitaka Kinomoto, Creator/TomokazuSeki as Toya Kinomoto, Creator/JunkoIwao as Tomoyo Daidoji, Creator/MegumiOgata as Yukito Tsukishiro/Yue, Creator/YukoMinaguchi as Nadeshiko Kinomoto, Creator/MikiIto as Sonomi Daidouji, Issei Miyazaki as Takashi Miyazaki and Creator/RyokaYuzuki as Nakuru Akizuki.
** In the English dub, Creator/MonicaRial and Creator/JasonLiebrecht reprise their roles as Sakura and Shaoran, respectively, from Manga/TsubasaReservoirChronicle.
* ScrewedByTheLawyers: One of the most bizarre examples of this trope ever, as the show was pulled in the Philippines because it had the bad luck of being shown on Yey!, one of the cable channels owned by Creator/ABSCBN, one of the broadcasting networks critical against President Rodrigo DuterteDuterte threatened to shut down the network ever since he became President which many media watchdogs believe that it may have something to do with the network not showing much of his election ads back in the 2016 presidential campaign. It doesn't help that on February 2020, the solicitor general's office filed a petition at the Supreme Court to end ABS-CBN's franchise due to allegations of foreigners involved in the company's ownership, though media watchdogs contend that this is politically motivated by Duterte and his cronies. Back in May 2020, the National Telecommunications Commission issued a cease-and-desist order on the network to stop its broadcasting operation which they reluctantly comply. However, its cable channels were still airing which is why Yey! was able to air two episodes of Clear Card until NTC issued another cease-and-desist order on ABS-CBN to shut down its cable channels. And as a final nail to the coffin, the House committee formally rejected ABS-CBN's franchise on July 10, 2020. Though its online platforms and streaming service such as [=iWant=] are not affected by the shutdown, it remained unclear whether Clear Card would be returning until [=A2Z=] Channel 11, which is owned by Zoe Broadcasting Network with ABS-CBN serving as its primary blocktime partner, would air the show on September 4, 2021.
* SelfAdaptation: Like with the previous series, Nanase Ohkawa (the head writer of both the original manga and Clear Card) returned as a writer for this anime. For this series, she was the sole writer for all the episodes.
* SoMyKidsCanWatch: Some of the English voice actors in the Clear Card series are signed onto this for its family-friendly content, after being in violent series like Manga/AttackOnTitan.
* TroubledProduction: Big time with the Latin American Spanish dub: Originally, Creator/CristinaHernandez, Creator/LuisDanielRamirez and Creator/YamilAtala were planned to reprise their roles as Sakura, Touya and Kero, while Creator/MemoAponte was planned to voice Syaoran replacing Uraz Huerta. Unfortunately, things went sour in sudden way: Creator/LuisDanielRamirez was vetoed by many voice acting studios, following many accusations of sexual harassment against him, while Memo Aponte was both involved in many scandals as well, which also caused him to retire from acting altogether. Combined with the death of Tomoyo's voice actress Monica Villaseñor the whole mess soured Hernández to the point of throwing the towel on dubbing the series, leaving the possibility that someone else would dub the show without her at the helm or even voicing Sakura. However, in a rather sudden turn of events, it was announced that the Clear Card series would get a dubbed version at 2024, through is still unknown if Hernández would reprise Sakura or would be voiced by someone else.It is worth mentioning that, outside her, the only living and active voice actors at 2024 are the mentioned Yamil Atala as Kero, Creator/EnzoFortuny as Yukito/Yue, Creator/IsabelMartinon as Chiharu, Gaby Willer as Meilin, Creator/DulceGuerrero as Kaho Mizuki, and Circe Luna as Rika. Aside the mentioned vetoed actors, there's many voice actors that are either retired from acting (Creator/MonicaManjarrez as Sonomi Daidouji and Ernesto Lezama as Spinel Sun), dead (Enrique Mederos as Fujitaka Kinomoto and Creator/EstebanSiller as Masaki Amamiya) or simply unavailable.
