''LEGO Dreamzzz'' (stylized as ''LEGO DREAMZZZ'') is a line of Franchise/{{LEGO}} playsets, introduced in May 2023. The line uses around a mix of real-world and fantasy inspirations.

The line follows [[TheLeader Mateo]], [[GenkiGirl Izzie]], [[NiceGuy Cooper]], [[LonerTurnedFriend Zoey]], [[JerkJock Logan]], and [[BadassTeacher Dr. Oz]] as they travel between the real-world and the dream world to defeat [[BigBad The Nightmare King]].

It had a crossover episode with ''WesternAnimation/NinjagoDragonsRising'' in December 2023.

"Step into the dream world with LEGO Dreamzzz, the first theme from the LEGO Group to be truly inspired by the way children dream, after research finds two in three children globally say dreaming helps them be more creative." - LEGO
----
!!This theme has examples of:
* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: Madteo is able to charm Astrid by acting like this, though she quickly loses interest after his true nature is revealed.
* AllThereInTheScript: The antagonist of "Songs of the Mist" is never formally named in the episode itself, and is only credited as "Witch" in the credits. The official synopsis for the episode calls her the Never Witch. Season 2 would have her full name be spoken on-screen.
* AndStarring: In the end credits, the cast are listed in two pages. The first is an alphabetical list of characters and actors; the second simply reads "And Creator/SarahJeffery as Zoey".
* ArcVillain:
** The Nightmare King is the BigBad of Season 1, aiming to break into the Waking World.
** The Never Witch is the BigBad of Season 2, aiming to control the Dream World and trap all dreamers within it.
* BadassDecay: Season 2 sees most of the heroes significantly nerfed in several ways.
** Mateo loses a big level thanks to being depressed over [[spoiler:Z-Blob being sealed]], only able to dreamcraft objects made form slime, although he's often able to make it work. [[spoiler:Regaining Z-Blob allows him to bounce back]].
** Izzy loses her memories of the Dream World to one of the Never-Witch's ravens, rendering her unable to dreamcraft until they're retrieved.
** Cooper loses his knowledge of technology, and unlike Izzy, [[spoiler:his memories are shattered and he's unable to retrieve them]].
** Zoey [[spoiler:gives up her watch after learning it was the Night Hunter's, and is forced to overload it to rescue her friends in the Season 2 {{Cliffhangar}}]].
* BadBoss: The Nightmare King has a habit of killing his Grimspawn when they fail or annoy him. He also repeatedly threatens to kill the Night Hunter due to his recent string of failures, though at one point [[FauxAffablyEvil comforts]] him noting that he might be the "stuff of nightmares", but he's not a monster... [[FalseReassurance Yet]]. [[spoiler:In the final episode of Season 1, the Night Hunter abandons the Nightmare King after he's sealed in Z-Blob, [[MistreatmentInducedBetrayal likely having had enough]].]]
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: The Nightmare King spends most of Season 2 urging Mateo to [[spoiler:release him from Z-Blob so Mateo can have his friend back. Mateo eventually does...by making the Nightmare King into his own realm's Guardian, trapping him there for good]].
* BittersweetEnding: Season 1 ends with [[spoiler:the heroes defeating the Nightmare King and sealing him away again, possibly for good due to him being unable to corrupt new Guardian Z-Blob, but leaves Z-Blob trapped in the Grim Realm, separated from Mateo. Afterward, after everything seemingly goes back to normal, Sneak is revealed to have snuck into the human world, showing that the Rift between the Waking World and Dream World is still open.]]
* BlondeBrunetteRedhead: Cooper, Logan, and Mateo.
* BookEnds: In the first episode, Mateo is in Mr Oz's science class when he hears strange noises from his backpack, and discovers Z-Blob for the first time. In the last episode [[spoiler:the same sequence of events takes place, except that the creature in his backpack is Sneak.]]
* BreakingOldTrends: The protagonists live in a real-life location, in this case, Brooklyn, New York, rather than a ConstructedWorld or fictional town [[WhereTheHellIsSpringfield in an ambiguous area]] like LEGO generally does.
* BuiltWithLego: Played straight, as it is a LEGO theme, although in the show only the characters are LEGO mostly.
* TheBusCameBack: [[spoiler:After being sealed to keep the Nightmare King imprisoned for the first half of Season 2, Z-Blob is freed when Mateo instead turns the Nightmare King into his own Guardian]].
* CharacterDevelopment: Logan is initially [[JerkAss quite mean]] to his fellow Dream Chasers, but particularly Mateo due to both sharing Cooper as a friend, and has a tendency to act cowardly or in a way that endangers the crew due to his selfishness. [[spoiler:After being rescued by the Dream Chasers at the midway point of Season 1, however, he buries the hatchet with Mateo, and while his mean streak never really goes away, [[TookALevelInKindness he becomes more thoughtful]].]]
* CheatersNeverProsper: In "The Bigger Picture" the protagonists try to get the answers to a mathematics test by entering their teacher's dream. They get the answers, but the chaotic dream that results inspires the teacher to compose a new test, rendering the answers useless.
* TheChosenMany: The main characters ("Dream Chasers").
* DarkestHour: The midpoint of Season 2 sees [[spoiler:most of the Night Bureau captured, including Phil, Oz, Albert, and the recently reformed Night Hunter]].
* EvilKnockoff: The Never-Witch creates these of the heroes in Season 2 , starting with Mateo. Madteo even creates his own evil Z-Blob, DoomBlob.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Boatloads with the Night Hunter.
** The Night Hunter is capable of Dreamcrafting, something none of the Grimmspawn or even the Nightmare King are capable of. [[spoiler:He's later revealed to have been a former Night Bureau member, corrupted by the Nightmare King.]]
** He also has a surprising connection to Zoey, with history with her seemingly beyond thieving from her. [[spoiler:He's really her father]].
* GiantWoman: In Ms. Putnam's dream in "The Bigger Picture", she grows to gigantic size when Logan angers her.
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: Unlike the rest of the heroes, Logan cannot Dreamcraft due to giving up at the first sign of trouble in "Chased Dreamers", and whenever he tries only manages to turn himself blue, [[spoiler:and in "Short Sheeped", ends up turning into a small blue creature. However, he realizes said blue creature possesses enough strength and speed to take on Grimspawns with his bare hands, is able to take advantage of his smaller size to escape from a cage in "The Grim Escape", and finds out he can turn Cooper's Dream Build Car into powerful monsters, in what they dub "Dreambashing".]]
* HeelFaceTurn:
** Sneak turns out to have ''faked'' an incredibly convincing one, pretending to bond with Logan and pull RedemptionEqualsDeath. [[spoiler:He eventually makes one for real, joining the Brooklyn Branch in the real world]].
** [[spoiler:The Night Hunter eventually pulls one in Season 2 after reconnecting with his daughter Zoey]].
* ImaginationBasedSuperpower: Dreamcrafting - all of the heroes except Logan are capable of creating things from their imagination in the dream world, with the Night Hunter also being capable of doing so. [[spoiler:Logan eventually manages to figure out how to augment Cooper's own builds in "The Grim Escape".]]
* IncrediblyObviousBug: Zigzagged with the eye that the Nightmare King plants on Logan's baseball cap; when inactive it can't be detected, but when active it's plainly visible.
* KaleidoscopeHair: In the waking worlds, the characters have realistic hair tones, but Izzie, Zoey and Mateo all have coloured hair in their dream personas (respectively: Izzie's hair is pink and blue, Zoey's is purple, and Mateo's brown hair gains a green streak).
* LiteralSplitPersonality: In the dream world, the rational side of Mr Oz's personality becomes his chimpanzee sidekick Albert.
* MortonsFork: In "Night Hunted", [[spoiler:the Night Hunter tries to escape the Nightmare King, and when Sneak tells him that he'll be killed for doing so, the Night Hunter tells him that he'll die if he tries to go back anyway for already trying to desert after the Nightmare King kept trying to make him use Lunia's hourglass, which almost killed him. It takes the Night Hunter pointing out Mateo is much stronger than him to the Nightmare King to let him reconsider.]]
* MultipleEndings: Towards the end of building a set, the builder is given two different sets of instructions for what they want to do with the remaining pieces, kind of like the 3 in 1 Creator sets.
* MythologyGag:
** Seeing something he thinks is a "space hologram", Logan asks "Are we doing [[Toys/LEGOGalaxySquad Galaxy Squad]] now?"
** The anime that Izzie watches in the first episode is from an {{Animesque}} fight scene between Zane and Ultra Violet from the ''{{WesternAnimation/Ninjago}}'' season 11 episode, "The Absolute Worst".
** In the waking world, Mr. Oz wears a shirt with the Toys/ClassicLegoSpace logo. This is carried through to the dream world in the design of his spacebus, which has a similar colour scheme to classic space sets like [[https://brickset.com/sets/6980-1/Galaxy-Commander 6980]] and carries a modified version of the logo with the planet replaced by an hourglass.
* NotSoStoic: Zoey does a SpitTake and bursts out laughing when Inspector Strick is accidentally regressed to behaving like a baby in "The Anomaly".
* ObstructiveBureaucrat:
** Inspector Strick in Season 1, who seems to be looking for any excuse to shut down the Brooklyn Branch.
** She turns out to be not ''nearly'' as bad as Royce is in Season 2. A sticker of the rules to the highest degree and ever so obnoxious about it.
* OddFriendship: In Season 2, Logan and Astrid of all characters hit it off.
* PsychopathicManchild: Downplayed. The Nightmare King is generally quite good at keeping calm, but particularly as Season 1 goes on, tends to be impatient and temperamental with screaming fits when his goals meet setbacks. [[spoiler:He's revealed in "The Light of Nocturnia" to actually have been a being Dreamcrafted by Lunia named Migo, but she had a tendency to leave him alone for long periods of time, something that frustrated him and eventually turned Migo into a monster, giving him [[FreudianExcuse an obsession]] with being remembered, not unlike a child lashing out for attention.]]
* SealedEvilInACan: The Nightmare King was sealed before the series, but the Night Hunter broke him out. [[spoiler:Mateo seals him within Z-Blob as a Guardian at the end of Season 1, and in Season 2 he makes the Nightmare King ''himself'' into a Guardian, freeing him, but only if the Grim Realm is ever threatened]].
* SequelHook: Season 1 has two.
** "Songs of the Mist" [[spoiler:implies that due to the prior fight between Zoey and the Night Hunter, the Never Witch is able to leave her confinement, likely having plans for the Dream World. She becomes the BigBad of Season 2.]]
** "Enter the Nightmare" ends with [[spoiler:the Nightmare King having been sealed away, and things seemingly go back to normal, until it turns out Sneak stowed away in Mateo's backpack, revealing that the rift between worlds is still open.]]
* ShipTease: Both Mateo and Logan are hinted to have crushes on Zoey.
* SixthRanger:
** Nova in Season 2 after figuring out the Dream World in Season 1. She can't enter the Dream World consciously, but acts as MissionControl for the Brooklyn Branch with Sneak.
** Astrid in Season 2, being the only one not part of the main cast to [[spoiler:escape the Never-Witch]].
* TheSpeechless: Z-Blob can't talk, because Mateo originally drew him without a mouth.
* SpottingTheThread: Izzy quickly picks up on the way Madteo is acting being completely different from the real Mateo. Logan also notices it too.
* TeamPet: Z-Blob.
* ThemeNaming:
** One of the Grimspawn in the spacebus set wears a Toys/ClassicLegoSpace helmet, and is named as Denny -- in keeping with [[WesternAnimation/TheLegoMovie Benny]] and his colleagues [[https://brickset.com/sets/70841-1/Benny-s-Space-Squad Jenny, Kenny and Lenny]].
** The [[EvilKnockoff evil doppelgangers]] of the main cast in Season 2 all include an extra "D" in their names, sometimes replacing a letter in their name. Mateo's is Madteo, Izzy's is Dizzy, Logan's is Dogan, Zoey's is Doey, and Cooper's is Dooper.
* TimeMaster: Zoey owns a watch that can reverse time. [[spoiler:It used to be her father's, and he stole it from the Unmaker, but it's overloaded and destroyed in Season 2 to save the heroes from the Never-Witch]].
