----
* His playthrough of ''Videogame/ValiantHearts'' came with a lot of depressing moments, considering it's based around the main idea that WarIsHell.
** When [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsJfIi3pNeI&feature=youtu.be&t=7m45s Walt's original owner dies]] in episode 9, Jack takes a quick moment to pay his respects by removing his hat and placing it on his chest.
** Also from episode 9: when Karl's farm gets shelled by chlorine gas, he sees Marie on the ground without a mask, leading him to ''[[HeroicSacrifice take off his mask and put it on her to spare her]]'' before dragging her to safety and nearly succumbing to the gas. The entire event has Jack fighting back tears.
** The final episode had Emile being executed for a murder that he didn't intend to cause. Instead of a few tears welling up, Jack openly broke down crying, which is probably a first for him.
---> '''Jack''': ''(sobs)'' That ''SUCKED!''
* The entirety of the ''Static Speaks My Name'' video, which features a game based around suicide. Sean seems very distressed throughout the video, and it comes to a peak when he is forced to hang his in-game character, showing very clearly that he doesn't want to do it [[ButThouMust but has to]]. The subsequent speech he gives about suicide is saddening too, considering Jack talks about his uncle who hanged himself despite being a very nice person. While Jack and his uncle weren't very close, the death was still a shock to him.
** This becomes HarsherInHindsight when you think of this when you watch his [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgEfa9LinhI announcement video]] for his charity livestream event for suicide prevention.
* At the end of his playthrough of a fangame called ''Jacksepticeye Paradox'', he comes across a room where there is a similar sprite of Jack's but colored completely black. When interacted with, a prompt from the game creator shows up talking about how the black sprite represents people who feel like they are insignificant and don't contribute to their communities, much like how many comments that Jack gets starts with messages similar to "You're probably not going to read this". As Jack reads this prompt, he starts crying and then talks about how terrible he feels about not answering every single comment that comes his way. Eventually he shifts it to talking about how lost he would be without Youtube, since he doesn't have any friends that he interacts with on a daily basis. Seeing such a peppy, happy, and energetic guy fighting back tears and talking about how he's the equivalent of nothing without Youtube is hard to watch.
* In his ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1s1wDPE4tM Deep Down in Space]]'' video at the 12:30 mark, Jack gets {{jump scare}}d by a facehugger-like creature. It wouldn't be so sad if it wasn't for the [[TheWoobie terrified, helpless look]] he gave to the camera after he lifted the Oculus Rift from his eyes.
* In Episode 2 of ''Videogame/LifeIsStrange'', he is unable to save Kate. You can just tell how awful he feels, especially when he finds out that not only is it possible to save her, but the majority of players have.
* In episode 5 of ''VideoGame/TheSims4'', Jack notes how shitty the game makes him feel since while his in-game Sims modeled after him and his girlfriend are living together in harmony, in real life Jack's then girlfriend was in South Korea and he's in Ireland recording games.
* Jack takes Ashley's death in ''VideoGame/UntilDawn'' rather hard, as he instantly recognizes that he made a wrong decision that caused her to die. He goes on to lose four more characters after this, which noticeably drains him emotionally.
* The end of ''VideoGame/ShadowOfTheColossus'' causes Jack to tear up. He says that no matter how many times he plays it, he always tears up at the end. Especially after Wander dies. He expresses how heartbreaking it is that Mono and Agro are still alive, but Wander has no idea.
* His entire playthrough of ''Videogame/TheBeginnersGuide'' - especially his big speech at the end.
* ''VideoGame/{{Undertale}}''
** His response to Toriel giving him a FinalFirstHug, doubling as a SugarWiki/{{Heartwarming Moment|s}}: "Aww, Mom! Hugs for Mom!"
** His expression when the monsters tell him the story of Asriel and the Fallen Child. The music for the scene doesn't help, at all.
--->"There are a lot of striped shirts in here." ''[[OhCrap I]]'' [[OhCrap wear striped shirts.]] Wait, is this ''my'' room?
** Also, when Flowey kills Asgore, he lets out a BigNo and starts screaming at Flowey before the latter crashes the game.
** In the finale of True Pacifist Route, Jack starts to visibly tear up during the end of the true final battle with Asriel. You can even hear his voice cracking a bit after Asriel's last attack when he's narrating his dialogue. But the absolute saddest moment is seeing Jack holding back the tears when he comforts Asriel during the post-fight scene. He can't even bring himself to narrate the line "I don't want to let go...". Sure, he recovers after the scene, but man...
** He comes close to crying tears of frustration after spending ''two hours'' trying to defeat Sans in the No Mercy run. He eventually gives up and has to split the video in parts. The fact that the farthest he had gotten was Sans ''last attack'' (the all around laser) that can kill players before he does the scripted "smacking you all over the wall" probably didn't help.
** In the next part, he flat out screams with rage after failing to avoid the same attack ''again''. He just sounds flat out broken at this point, and he even states that he died four times trying to avoid it.
** Then, he finally manages to kill Sans after all that perseverance. While he was simply happy that the battle with Undyne the Undying was over after taking forever, once he lands the killing blow to Sans, [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone Jack's hands immediately go over his mouth]]. Sans was his favorite character in the game, and you can tell he instantly regrets killing him. He even bleakly notes "That's the saddest death so far...".
* Jack became emotionally drained while playing ''That Dragon, Cancer'', and started crying while talking about his grandmother's death, and at the end when he realizes Joel was real.
* The death of Gerald the rabbit in ''GTA V''; although it was sort of PlayedForLaughs, it was kind of saddening to see Jack take out an innocent rabbit just because of how much it was evading him and messing with his emotions.
* His reaction to Scooter's sacrifice in ''VideoGame/TalesFromTheBorderlands'' is pretty sad, complete with covering his mouth, wiping his eyes, and sniffling just a little.
* While he doesn't regret saving Selina in ''VideoGame/BatmanTheTelltaleSeries'', he's genuinely remorseful that he didn't save Harvey Dent from being disfigured. The grisliness of Episode Two's finale really gets to him.
-->"I'm sorry! I didn't think! I panicked!"
* ''VideoGame/TheLastGuardian'':
** One often-repeated line when Trico is fighting: "DON'T YOU DARE HURT MY TRICO!"
** Two moments in particular that got him outright crying:
*** The first time was when Trico was carrying around the boy's body, trying everything it could to wake the boy up.
*** The other time was the entire ending sequence, from the fight up top of the tower to when the boy had to send Trico away to keep it from getting killed.
** Jack cries through the ending credits, and only manages to calm down on seeing TheStinger with Trico and baby Trico.
* Jack accidentally sacrificing Clarissa toward the end of ''VideoGame/{{Oxenfree}}''. He had gone the whole game trying to save everyone, and his face towards the end where it shows Clarissa missing with the narration that no one but Alex remembers her is very sad, especially with the pop up saying that a majority of players ''were'' able to save her.
* ''VideoGame/NightInTheWoods'':
** "Why am I enabling you?" Jack asks when an injured Mae returns to the mineshaft, and Jack has no choice but to let her go. When Mae's friends come to help, he says, "I want friends like these!"
** His reaction to learning that Casey died in the pit. With horror and anger, he says, "You bastards!"
** When Angus uses the elevator shaft to crush the cultist attacking Mae Jack's hand flies to his mouth and he starts saying "Oh God, OH GOD!" with fear and disgust.
* During VideoGame/TheFinalStation, he feels suspicious of the behavior of the citizens of New Costfield and is very frustrated by the huge amount of enemies roaming the city, but once he returns to the train, he forgets about it and continues to play as usual. [[NuclearOption Then the nuke goes off to protect Metropole and the towns behind it]]. He simply stares in shock, repeating [[BigOMG "Oh my god"]] over and over again.
** When Jack leaves Metropole and sees [[HumongousMecha the Guardian]] take off, he is very excited and roots for its success. He later finds what is left of it, all broken and dead. His behavior is very somber, obviously understanding the implications of it.
** During the last 20 minutes, he becomes aware that the protagonist is infected and will turn. He nonetheless pushes forward home, though he becomes more and more concerned with the protagonist coughing up black slime. He finally reaches home and succumbs to the infection, only for the cowboy to appear, aim his shotgun at his head and pull the trigger. Jack is quiet in distraught shock, with only a BigNo happening when his character gets killed.
* The ending of the game ''VideoGame/{{Detention}}''. Jack is forced to kill off Ray (again) by receiving a noose and getting her to hang herself. Jack himself [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness obviously takes no joy in the proceedings, playing in]] ''[[{{Keet}} absolute silence]]''.
* His reaction to the darker aspects of ''VisualNovel/DokiDokiLiteratureClub''. Especially Sayori's suicide, since Jack frequently talks about how much he loves Sayori as a person and a character, stating that warm, bubbly personalities like hers are especially appealing to him.
* Due to a series of choices he makes in part 6 of his ''VideoGame/DetroitBecomeHuman'' playthrough, Simon self-destructs while Connor is connected to his memory, killing the former and traumatizing the latter. Jack is initially upset by Simon's death, but he looks devastated seeing Connor [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness looking completely shell-shocked and admitting the experience scared him.]]
* He doesn't take Mushroom's death in ''VideoGame/LifeIsStrange2'' very well at all. He doesn't even hesitate to tell Daniel that she's up in Heaven, with their Dad, and expresses disbelief that there would even be an option to say "Nah."
-->'''Jack:''' Whoever plays this game and picks [[VideoGameCrueltyPotential "Nah"]]? [[SeriousBusiness I'm coming to your]] ''[[ImpliedDeathThreat house]].''
* May's suicide in ''Missed Messages'' causes him to have a long reflection of when he was at his low point and how people can experience depression and even self-harming or suicidal thoughts even if they don't show it on the surface.
* Any time one of Jack's pets dies in his ''{{VideoGame/Minecraft}}'' series, as well as Jack's eulogies for them. Namely:
** Saoirse and the unnamed pup child being washed away by the currents and drowning. Especially when Sam visits their graves, it is edited in greyscale.
** Seamus Jr. being accidentally hung to death right after Jack gets him home.
** Padraig being accidentally struck by Jack's sword while fighting a skeleton.
* At the end of 2017, Jack uploaded a video where he talks about why that particular year was [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5Hlr9_6Jig his toughest year on [=YouTube=]]]. At first, he talks about all the good things that happened throughout the year, such as moving to a new apartment, touring, and successfully completing a Christmas charity livestream... but then Jack starts to choke up when he details all of the mental health problems that he suffered the entire year, to the point where he actually took a break in Christmas where he stayed alone at home and sobbed for 2-3 days. Also, at one point in the video, he got so emotional that he had to cover his eyes and stop recording.
** This eventually became ''so much'' HarsherInHindsight following the release of [[https://youtu.be/YWqxF-67YRI?t=262 his "Answering REALLY Personal Questions" video,]] wherein he mentions that he briefly (but seriously) considered suicide at the end of 2017. It's such a jarring, unexpected comment to hear from him. No wonder why 2017 was really a terrible year for him.
* In ''VideoGame/LittleMisfortune'', Jack starts out enjoying the game but getting nervous at certain points, like when a cat and Misfortune cross the road. But most of the time it makes him laugh. Then the reality of what the game will be like hits him when he picks the option to play with a dog and not untie it. Misfortune throws a ball, which ricochets and hits her. This makes him laugh...but he ceases immediately when the dog is killed by a falling branch. Jack's horrified and stunned for several minutes. He even made a reasonable assumption that if he let the dog go, it'd run into the road but this is the sort of game where "there is no right or wrong, only consequences."
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OVVgSOaiUE "Loss"]]. In that video, he tried to explain why he was inactive in [=YouTube=] for a week or so and made it clear to the audience that he's trying to move on. However, you can see that he's still extremely burnt out from what happened in 2020, and the fact that his father died in January really shows that he had a terrible start to 2021.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5L8O1jIzAlM "15 Months"]]. A short, heartbreaking film created by Jack that shows just how fragile his mental state has been for nearly two years, up to and including frequent panic attacks and the drawers full of antidepressants he's taken.
