Fur TV was a comedy puppet show produced by Creator/MTV Networks Europe and airs on MTV channels throughout Europe.
----
!!This show provides examples of:

* TheAlcoholic: Fat Ed spends most of his free time indulging in his booze and watching TV.
%%* AllJustADream: The episode "Merverella".
* AllMenArePerverts: The three main characters indulge on that, but Mervin is the worst one.
%%* AmbiguouslyGay: Mervin.
* AntiHero: The three main characters (Fat Ed, Lapeno and Mervin) are Nominal Heroes at best.
* AxCrazy: Fat Ed is violent, irrational and sadistic when he's pissed. And Mervin tends to be his most common victim.
%%* BigBadDuumvirate: Fat Ed and Pussy Monster in the episode "Merverella".
* TheBigGuy: Fat Ed is the biggest of the trio, and also the most willing to do the heavy lifting.
* BigEater: In their fan mail episode, Lapeno trusted Ed with the money for the cable bill. Ed promptly spent it on about fifty pizzas for himself.
* BlackComedy: Much of the humor in this show focuses on violence, murder, drug abuse, pornography or sex.
* BloodKnight: Ed never passes up a chance to beat on anyone. Especially when it comes to beating Mervin.
* BookDumb: Mervin is very far from being the brightest bulb around. In fact, if you catch him with a magazine, chances are it's a naughty one he's using for self-pleasure.
* BrownNote:
** During the first performance by Ed's metal band Stinkhole, a smack in the head causes Mervin to accidentally discover this note on the keyboard, causing the entire audience to defecate themselves. Of course, Ed being Ed, he refuses to acknowledge this as Mervin's achievement. The studio recording of said brown note takes its effects up to eleven by actually killing whoever listens to it.
* ButtMonkey: Lapeno or Fat Ed are this sometimes, but Mervin is the best one as he's always the victim to Ed's aggression or mostly anything else.
* CasanovaWannabe: An exaggerated version happens when Lapeno arranges Mervin for a date with a friend of his. According to a title on screen, the date lasts for less than a second.
* TheChewToy: Mervin. He has been injured, beaten by Fat Ed, humiliated or maimed dozens of times, and this happens in almost every episode of the series.
* CoolShades: Lapeno is never seen without them. He wears them even in bath.
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: Ed becomes a victim of a shady record label that royally screws him over by turning his death metal act Stinkhole into cheap pop act Twinkhole. Not that he wasn't asking for it (see ReadTheFinePrint below).
* ClusterFBomb: The only one who doesn't indulge in this is Mervin and some supporting characters.
* ComedicSociopath: Fat Ed, who goes out of his way to hurt someone whenever possible. That someone usually being Mervin.
%%* CrapsackWorld
* DeadpanSnarker: Lapeno acts as such due to most of the time being the OnlySaneMan.
* DisproportionateRetribution: Fat Ed to Mervin, frequently. For instance when Mervin accidentally vacuums Ed's eye, Ed responds by whacking him all around the place.
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: In the first pilot Lapeno and Fat Ed looked quite different Ed had a bigger head and small eyes while Lapeno looked more frog-like. There were also 2 characters who were a homosexual couple named Jim and Frank who only appearaed in the two pilot episodes.
* EarnYourHappyEnding: Yeah, even for a series with BlackComedy to the brim, gets several of these endings.
* TheExile: Fat Ed, who emphatically states repeatedly he can never go back to the US. Finally, after repeated pressing from Lapeno, Ed confesses why:
---> Ed: I. KILLED. TUPAC. And Biggie. And Kurt Cobain didn't exactly commit suicide, if you know what I mean.
---> Lapeno:....I see you are correct, Ed. You can....never go back. Now, let us never speak of this again.
* FatBastard: Fat Ed, the clue is in the name. He's violent, irrational and sadistic when he's pissed.
%%* GallowsHumour
%%* GeniusBruiser: Fat Ed has his moments.
* GilliganCut: Several in a row. The group had been taping Lapeno and his girlfriend having sex to make money to pay the rent to their violent landlord, only to find out that said girlfriend is the wife of said landlord.
-->Lapeno: [looking at the webcam] Our only hope is that the ugly fuck isn't watching us right now.
-->[Cut to landlord behind his computer]
-->Mervin: And besides, maybe he won't take it that badly.
-->[Cut to landlord walking down the street with a large axe
-->Lapeno: True. And even then he may listen to reason.
-->[Cut to landlord smashing in their front door]
* HairTriggerTemper: The one most guilty of this is Ed. He's always in a simmering rage on-screen, but he usually gives warnings before he starts whaling on someone.
* Jerkass: Fat Ed is unpleasant, short-tempered and rude.
* KarmaHoudini: Fat Ed, who rarely gets his comeuppance for anything he does. The landlord in the first episode Rent Boys gets off scot-free with forcing the main trio to sexual acts with them at end of the episode. The producer Tony Coke gets away with forcing Fat Ed into changing his band's creative control.

* LethalChef: Mervin doesn't understand that cooking involves food. If he hasn't made something that looks like a giant penis, he's trying to serve up Squick feces and urine and pass it off as food.
* LethallyStupid: Mervin has his moments, especially when he cooked a cat by "accident".
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: The guys' landlord is named Mr. Slaughter. He tore the previous puppet tenant to shreds after the latter failed to pay his rent.
* NiceGuy: Lapeno is pretty much a fine person to walk around with compared to his room mates.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: Fat Ed to Mervin, almost OnceAnEpisode since it doesn't take much for Mervin to piss him off.
* OhCrap: In the first episode Rent Boys when Mervin reveals the woman Lapeno was having sex with was the landlord's wife Fat Ed hides while Lapeno cowers behind the landlord's wife when rhe landlord is about to kill him.
* OnlySaneMan: Lapeno has to put up with the hyper-aggressive Fat Ed, and the dumb, sex-obsessed Mervin. And he does that with a saint's patience.
* ReadTheFinePrint: Ed mindlessly signs a ridiculously thick contract presented to him by record label executives (who assure him that it's a standard contract), despite Lapeno warning him that he should actually read it first. Of course this later bites him in the back.
* ReallyGetsAround: Lapeno is a master at scoring with girls. Lampshaded on this instance:
-->Fat Ed: If I wanted to see pussies, I would look through the lock of Lapeno's bedroom on Thursdays.\
(the scene cuts to Lapeno in bed with a handful of beautiful women)\
Lapeno: Why do you say Thursdays? I do this every night.
* Sadist: Fat Ed is violent, irrational and sadistic when he's pissed.
* TheSociopath: Fat Ed is violent, irrational and sadistic when he's pissed.
* TooDumbToLive: Mervin, literally. He repeatedly antagonizes Ed, a person who has actually killed him a number of times, and keeps thinking they're best friends.
* VillainProtagonist: Fat Ed is violent, irrational and sadistic when he's pissed.
* VulgarHumor: Fur TV relied a great deal on this humor, paired with BlackComedy.
