The latter had Doofus Penny drag Snap into a tour of her Scientastical Hall of Wondoors.

The episode's sequel, "The Return of Doctor Dark", sees the Defenders (along with their friend, Mara), Ming's forces and Dark racing to find the pieces of the Orb; in the end, Dark (like Kurt/N'Dama) is destroyed as a result of his own greed.

One season later comes "Tons of Timmys", where the Dads return and Timmy wishes for clones of himself to keep them busy.

Two seasons later, "Return of the L.O.S.E.R.S." has them strike back when Timmy's fairies are away and he's left helpless. "Clark Laser" from the same season also references the plotline through a temporary break-up brought on by Dark Laser's HeelFaceTurn.
58	** "Spellementary School" has Poof entering a school for magical children of various species. This periodically gets followed up in the seasons after: "Love Triangle", "Two and a Half Babies", and "School of Crock" all have Spellementary School as a focus and take place after its first episode.
59	** "Whittle Me This!" is a Catman episode where Catman, Chloe (as Catgirl), Timmy's Dad, and Mr. Crocker try to "save" Timmy, whom Catman thinks has been kidnapped. This would become the entire plot of its sequel, "Nuts and Dangerous", featuring a return of Chloe as Catgirl.

The episode ends with Fry practicing on the holophonor, but this is not revisited until "[[Recap/FuturamaS4E18TheDevilsHandsAreIdlePlaythings The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings]]", a SeriesFauxnale centering on Fry's ability to play the holophonor.
