''The Good, The Bad and The Spandex'' is a {{superhero}} play-by-post role-playing game started by Troper Tropers/{{Sijo}} on the TV Tropes Forum in the summer of 2016. In it, you can play a hero, villain, or anti-hero, but it must be an original character; maximum power level is JustForFun/SuperWeight class 3. Players may create more than one character but only play as one at a time. The rules of the game were set up by votes from participant players.

The game itself takes place in Easton, a city located in the East Coast of the United States. In addition to characters, players can also suggest world-building concepts, and Easton itself has been developed that way.

!Examples of Tropes in the game include:
%%* ActionBomb: Agent Victus has employed this tactic. It was rather [[StuffBlowingUp effective]].
* ADayInTheLimelight: Any reserved character may appear at any time.
%%* TheAllegedCar: The Pokermobile, which is an alleged bike.
* AsLongAsThereIsEvil: Sin Lord can only die if all intelligent species in the whole multiverse become extinct.
* TheCaper: House of Spades gang planned a Casino heist... and [[TheBadGuysWin succeded]]. Though, not without some casualties.
%%* ChewToy: Strip Poker
%%* ColorCodedForYourConvenience: The Crystal Bearers.
%%* CombatTentacles: Monstermash's main form of attack
* {{Cult}}: Shield of Humanity is a tech-cult that believes technology is the next step in the evolution of humanity. They even refer to each other as disciples.
%%* CyberCyclops: Shield of Humanity's Cyclops Unit.
%%* {{Cyborg}}: Xyberpunk, Lodestone, Ze Operator, [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast The First Transcendent]].
%%** Followers of the First are this.
%%*** Rine Anok is ''technically'' one of these, although half alien.
* DeathDealer: Strip Poker. Although the cards are less deadly and more mildly inconveniencing. His father the Card King played this straight.
* DeathSeeker: Crusader is subconsciously this. She wants to reunite with her dead family, but not without doing some good first.
* DemonLordsAndArchdevils: [[OurDemonsAreDifferent Sin Princes are essentially demon lords of Easton!multiverse, feeding on the sin of intelligent species.]]
%%* DimensionalTraveler: The Traveler, Rine Anok.
%%* EldritchAbomination: The Narrative Entities, The Parasites, The Galek-Modoth.
%%* FishPeople: Tethystra's creation, Fishmen, are this.
* FunWithAcronyms: TALOS- Tactical Abnormalities Logistics Organization & Services.
%%* GadgeteerGenius: Eisendrachen
* GodOfEvil: Sin Lord is deity that was formed thanks to concept of sin.
* HarmlessVillain: ''Strip Poker''. It's usually only a matter of time between him showing up and being knocked unconscious, usually without accomplishing anything more than minor property damage.
* HeroicHost: Inverted by Miles Walker, who is a petty thief, and host to a (mostly benevolent) organic bio-weapon named Jack. He's not a hero, but he isn't that bad of a person. [[NecessarilyEvil He does regret doing certain things to survive, though.]]
** Jackson Rainer and James Moore count as this. They are both hosts to two of the Galek-Modoth, that is, Zol-Karthoth and Til-Fastooth respectively. The two entities enhance the already superhuman abilities of their hosts.
%%* HiredGuns: Reverb, Hollowpoint, Twelve
* {{Leitmotif}}: Players can have leitmotifs for their own characters. It can be anything really (rock, OST, synth music etc.)
* LightningBruiser: Jackson Rainer and James Moore count as this. (although Moore is a weaker variant.) They are both superhumans, with enhanced strength, speed and stamina. They are even more powerful considering that they are the hosts of two power-enhancing entities; Zol-Karthoth and Til-Fastooth.
* MoralityKitchenSink: While classified as heroes, villains or anti-heroes, the players are free to play their characters as they wish. However they must deal with the consequences of their acts.
* TheJuggernaut: The [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast Omega Prototype]], A FlawedPrototype to [[HitmanWithAHeart Operator.]] Omega lacks empathy, and is someone you don't want to [[ImplacableMan get in the way of.]]
%%* TheMusicMeister: The Belladonnas, Expys of the Urchins from ''Theatre/LittleShopOfHorrors''.
* MultiversalConqueror: Roken Eniq is a particularly brutal one. He commands the seemingly limitless army of Parasites, eating TheMultiverse one dimension at a time.
* OurMermaidsAreDifferent: Mermaids in Easton!verse have multiple civilizations, categorized by oceans. Mermaids in-game (for now) come from Atlantic Ocean.
* OurWerebeastsAreDifferent: Animal supers are essentially werebeasts. Minus quite a few things. Mainly their non-magical origin, having no fatal weaknesses and the fact that being an animal super is not a disease. And a lack of {{Lunacy}}.
%%* ThePigPen: Pollutrix. She doesn't really have a choice in the matter.
* PowerArmor: In true ScienceHero fashion, Eisendrachen wears a suit instead of having any sort of (combat) powers.
* PowerCrystal: Amethyst is a Crystal Bearer, and has multiple set around his body. In a wider sense, all of the Crystal Bearers qualify.
%%* PungeonMaster: Operator is certainly one. Whenever he shows up, expect to be amused. [[LamePunReaction Or not.]]
%%* RidiculouslyHumanRobots: Axel Bates, NEXUS, Omega Prototype
* TheSingularity: [[MachineWorship Shield of Humanity's]] ultimate goal. They call it Technological Transcendence.
* SorcerousOverlord: Tethystra ruled Atlantic mermaids with her magic.

%%* [[{{Telepathy}} Telepath:]] Mindseye, Fracture.
