Context Roleplay / InfiniteJustice

Go To

Infinite Justice is a crossover roleplay consisting of Creator/MarvelComics, Creator/DCComics, Anime/DragonBallZ, and generally whatever fictional universe can fit in between those three. Hosted on the forums of Website/NationStates, it is currently in it's fourth incarnation with IJ: Origins, which does away with all previous canon in favor of an original universe.

!!Examples Present in Infinite Justice:

* AGodAmI: Killian during the last stages of his life. Outright claiming to be a god. With absolute control over all motion, he wasn't too far from the truth. Mad Max also claimed to be the Mad God on more than on occasion.
* ActionGirl: Literally any Player character female, can and will kick so much ass that their foot always smells of poo.
* AmusingInjuries: Killian and his left leg throughout the first incarnation.
* GrayAndGrayMorality: It's sometimes hard to tell who is the real good guy.
* CaptainErsatz: Oh Lordy, Speed Demon to the Flash, Alex to the Sentry, Valka to Odin, Elena Galadera to Batgirl, Ruby to Garnet, Ju'lee to Miss Martian, and many more.
* CurbStompBattle: Transcendent Killian versus the Masaki group. Two gods, two demi-gods, and a high level Arcosian all tried to fight him at once. He killed one of demi-gods with a twitch of his finger and beat the others within an inch of their lives with one hand behind his back.
* DarkerAndEdgier: The world of Infinite Justice is much darker and more bleak than in some much more lighthearted areas.
* DePower: Alex had his Sentry esque powers removed in exchanged for magical ones.
* FragileSpeedster: Killian Roth/Speed Demon, hits hard and fast, but has a glass jaw.
* FromASingleCell: In Infinite Justice 2, Daud survived the wrath of 's Omega Beams by having just an impossibly small piece of DNA survive. Yes, that Darkseid. [[spoiler:Daud then adapted to the Omega Beams, and could withstand them full-force, which aided in the eventual defeat of the Dark God and Thanos.]]
* HeroesUnlimited: Gotham Arc expanded the heroes from just Batgirl to opening the doors for heroic citizens and heroic gangsters to join. Same with JQ.
* ItsPersonal: Upon discovering the recent destruction of Sigma Galli Prime, Alastir returned to Earth, Intent on destroying both Alex "The Golden Guardian" As well as the Earth itself.
* LizardFolk: Naja, the super snake lady, and the World Dragons.
* MindOverMatter: Ralph the Rat fights using various forms of telekinesis, from adapting it to a psychic projectile to causing himself to fly.
* NewPowersAsThePlotDemands: The literal superpower of Daud Andreas, whose Adaptive Regeneration snowballed into godhood.
* PowerCreep: Pretty much everyone gets more powerful as time goes on. It's encouraged.
* ReedRichardsIsUseless: Averted with Mad Max and Alex. Mad has his own city in space, and Alex is creating a hyperadvanced utopia for superbeings.
* SuperRegistrationAct: The reason of the start of Civil War arc, sparked by damages caused by superheroes, and initiated by the UN.
* WhatCouldPossiblyGoWrong: The Runner essentially says this to Batgirl after they first meet.
* WorldOfBadass: Every character is a self-certified badass in their own right. Especially Mad Max.
