Nightwing, Artemis and Black Lightning return to Bedlam to retrieve the captured metahumans and Superboy, learning that the princes' uncle, Frederick [=DeLamb=], is mastermind Baron Bedlam. Although the team is able to rescue Superboy and Prince Brion, Count Vertigo gets away with the other kidnapped victims. Brion awakens, and is revealed to be able to control geologic forces. He goes to the castle to confront his uncle, who has since framed him for Markovian metahuman trafficking. Plasmus, the Count, and Simon Ecks engage the heroes in battle while Superboy goes to help Brion. Prince Gregor realizes that [=DeLamb=] is responsible and has him arrested, but exiles Brion.

!!Tropes:

* BarrierWarrior: The rescued Quraci refugee is able to create shields and bubbles to protect herself and the heroes, leading Artemis to call her Halo-girl.
* CallBack: Artemis comments that Superboy is not not going to like being unconscious in a pod, which is a reference to the pod Superboy was in at Cadmus in Season one, episodes 1.
* ColourCodedForYourConvenience: Halo's different powers produce different colored fields: force fields are red, flying/levitation is orange, and resurrection is violet.
* TheCameo: [[ComicBook/StargirlDCComics Courtney Whitmore]] is the reporter who interviews Garfield in the beginning.
* DoppelgangerSpin: Simon Ecks's SelfDuplication clones confuse the heroes, but are easily taken down.
* GratuitousLaboratoryFlasks: After everyone leaves the secret underground lab, a green liquid bubbles out of a test tube catching on fire from the flame of a bunsen burner.
* LabcoatOfScienceAndMedicine: Exploited; to infiltrate the children's hospital Nightwing takes a labcoat from a rack and puts it on.
* OffscreenRomance: Apparently, Beast Boy and Queen Perdita began dating during the TimeSkip after Season 2.
* PortmanteauCoupleName:[[invoked]] "Gardita" for Garfield Logan and Queen Perdita.
* PyrrhicVictory: The heroes shut down and expose Bedlam with its mastermind, Baron Frederick [=DeLamb=] arrested, and they save Prince Brion, Dr. Jace and Halo; however, Brion is exiled by his brother to minimise the fallout (and for his protection), Vertigo escapes with all the other kidnapped victims, and Plasmus is freed from their control only to be shot dead by a terrified farmer. While Dick tries to encourage focusing on the positives, it's clear nobody is exactly happy with the final outcome of the mission.
* RaceLift: The original Halo character was created when an energy being, an Aurakle, reanimated the body of a murdered blonde white woman. In this version, a Quraci refugee with a middle eastern appearance wearing a hijab is reanimated.
* SignificantAnagram: Lampshaded; "[=DeLamb=]" is an anagram for "Bedlam". Nightwing kicks himself for not having noticed that.
