* AnotherStoryForAnotherTime: At the end of this short, Buster tells the viewers that Plucky's parents took a "slightly harsher" view of his gambling, but that's another story...which the audience does not get to see.
* BittersweetEnding: Even though Hamton lost Wade's bottle cap collection to Plucky, Wade forgives him without even a reprimand. The next day, he, Hamton, and Uncle Stinky start a new bottle cap collection. According to Wade, it looks better than the first.
* CallBack: Hamton's parents and his Uncle Stinky from the DirectToVideo movie How I Spent My Vacation appear in this short.
* DeniedFoodAsPunishment: Winnie sends Hamton to his bed without dinner as punishment for losing Wade's bottle cap collection in a bet with Plucky.
* EarlyBirdCameo: This short premiered to American audiences on the short-lived spin-off The Plucky Duck Show on November 7, 1992 due to this episode never airing on Fox.
* GamblingRuinsLives: Zig-zagged; Plucky makes Hamton bet Wade's bottle cap collection in a game of jacks despite the latter's reluctance. Hamton loses the game and Plucky wins the collection. Although Winnie sends Hamton to bed without dinner and Hamton feels emotional guilt, Wade forgives him and they and Uncle Stinky start a new and better bottle cap collection the next day. Meanwhile, Plucky gets tied to a table saw for winning Wade's bottle cap collection.
* GilliganCut: Hamton consoles himself "At least my mom will understand" as he enters his house...only for us to hear Winnie shriek "You did WHAT?", and then we cut to her scolding Hamton as her voice shatters the previous shot like broken glass.
* HonorAmongThieves: In Hamton's ImagineSpot, Hamton joins up with a gang of wild boar thieves. When he reveals that he lost Wade's bottle cap collection in a bet to Plucky, the leader reveals that even among thieves, they have honor. He punishes Hamton by having him roasted.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Hamton after he loses his father's bottle cap collection to Plucky.
* PassingTheTorch: Near the end of the short, it is revealed that the bottle cap collection used to belong to Wade's father, and Wade wanted to give Hamton the bottle cap collection, just like how his father gave it to him.

Concord The Kindly Condor:

* AbnormalLimbRotationRange: Near the beginning of this short, Nasty keeps circling Concord who (instead of turning his whole body to face him) merely keeps turning his head. He turns it 360 degrees at least three times.
* AffectionateParody: Of WesternAnimation/CasperTheFriendlyGhost, with Concord in Casper's role and Concord's older brothers in the roles of the Ghostly Trio.
* BearTrap: A bear gets caught in one of these at the beginning of this short.
* BearsAreBadNews: Near the end of this short, Concord's older brothers mistake a bear trapped in a tree trunk for a smaller, more defenseless animal and attempt to pull him out by the nose. Concord tries to warn them, but they refuse to listen to him. The bear breaks free and beats up Concord's older brothers.
* BigThinShortTrio: Nasty is the big, Slim is the thin, and Lardo is the short, but all three of them are much bigger than Concord.
* CoolOldGuy: The Old Elk when Concord gives him rheumatism medicine. He ties up Concord's older brothers in his walker when they try to eat him.
* ADayInTheLimelight: For Concord Condor.
* TheDogBitesBack: At the end of the short, when Concord nurses his older brothers back to health, he tells them he's going to give them something he gives to all his patients. Concord's brothers expect lollipops, but he gives them their hospital bills. After they run away in fear, Concord says, "Who says I don't prey on the weak and sickly?".
* Expy: Besides Concord's brothers being similar to the Ghostly Trio, they are also similar to Gort, Wart, and Mort, Orson Pig's older brothers from WesternAnimation/GarfieldAndFriends, as they are three evil counterparts to the good guy who also happen to be his older brothers.
* FriendToAllLivingThings: Concord spends all his time helping sick and defenseless forest animals, and protects them from his three older brothers. He even says that as a veterinarian, he refuses to eat his patients, as it would compromise the doctor/patient relationship.
* NotNowKiddo: Concord tries to tell his older brothers about the bear trapped in the tree trunk when they try to pull him out by the nose, but they silence him and refuse to listen. It does not end well for them.
* PostTreatmentLollipop: After Concord treats his patients, he gives them a lollipop. Near the end of the short, when Concord nurses his brothers back to health after they get mauled by a bear, Concord tells them he's going to give them something he gives all of his patients. Concord's brothers expect to get lollipops, but instead, he gives them their medical bill, then says, "Who says I don't prey on the weak and sickly?".
* RuleOfThree: Concord's older brothers try to hunt more defenseless animals three times. The first time, they try to hunt an old elk, and get tied up in his walker as a result. The second time, they try to eat a baby raccoon, only to find out from Concord that he has a bad case of poison ivy. The third time, they mistake a bear trapped in a tree trunk for a smaller, more defenseless animal and try to pull him out by the nose, resulting in the bear breaking free and beating them up.
* ShockinglyExpensiveBill: Concord gives his brothers one at the end of the short. Upon looking at it, they run off.
* SiblingRivalry: While Concord wants to be a veterinarian and help defenseless animals, his older brothers want him to hunt and eat the defenseless animals.
* TerribleTrio: Nasty, Slim, and Lardo, Concord's three mean older brothers.
* ThermometerGag: At the beginning of this short, a bear gets caught in a trap. Concord arrives, takes out a thermometer, and walks towards the bear's rear. The next shot is a close-up of the bear's satisfied face, surrounded by hearts. This gag is then revealed to be subverted, as Concord merely used the thermometer to pry the trap open so the bear could get free.
* WhiteSheep: Concord serves as this to his older brothers, who want to demoralize his good behavior.
* YouDontLookLikeYou: Concord has a different haircut in this short, and the gag credit for this episode even jokes about it.

Night of the Living Pets:

* AffectionateParody: Of Film/NightOfTheLivingDead1968, with a touch of Literature/PetSematary.
* AllJustADream: The events of this short are revealed to be a nightmare of Elmyra's.
* BodyHorror: When Elmyra bathes two of the zombie pets, they fall apart in the bathtub. Then, when she attempts to clean Fluffikin with a mini-vacuum cleaner, Fluffikin loses his skin, exposing his skeleton underneath.
* CameBackWrong: Elmyra wishes to see all of her dead pets one more time, which does happen except they come back as zombies. Fortunately, it was only a nightmare.
* ChronicPetKiller: Elmyra. It is revealed in this short that her deceased pets included Goldie, a goldfish she didn't realize couldn't live out of water, and Flicka, a horse who accidentally jumped off a cliff after Elmyra screamed in her ear.
* DemBones: Goldie the goldfish is the only zombie pet that is just a skeleton.
* DownerBeginning: This short begins with Elmyra sadly looking through a photo album of the pets she had inadvertently killed over the years.
* DrivenToSuicide: In photos from Elmyra's photo album, Elmyra screamed in the ear of a horse named Flicka, frightening her and causing her to jump off a cliff.
* EarlyBirdCameo: Despite this short and the episode as a whole being banned by Fox, this short first appeared to American audiences on the Tiny Toon Adventures: Fiendishly Funny Adventures VHS tape, released in 1994.
* EveryoneHasStandards: In the epilogue, even Buster doesn't "pun dig" the creepy ending, wherein Elmyra decides to dig up her deceased pets so she can see them again.
* HeartBeatsOutOfChest: Elmyra does this when she hides in her bedroom from the zombie pets.
* HorrifyingTheHorror: Elmyra's zombie pets rise from their graves to try to get back at Elmyra for killing them, but when Elmyra tries to bathe them, they flee back to their graves.
* ImpactSilhouette: Byron leaves a Byron-shaped hole in the window when he jumps out it.
* RaisingTheSteaks: Elmyra's pets that were killed due to her own stupidity, rise from their graves to seek revenge. Of course, it was AllJustADream.
* RiseFromYourGrave: Elmyra's deceased pets rise from their graves to get back at Elmyra for the ways she mistreated them.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere:
** When Elmyra tries to stop the zombie pets from getting into her house, she says, "Do something, Byron!". Upon hearing this, Byron puts on a hat and picks up a suitcase, then jumps out the window.
** After two of the zombie pets fall apart in the bathtub and Fluffikin loses his skin, the rest of the zombie pets return to their graves so they don't have to become Elmyra's victims all over again.
* ShoutOut: Flicka, Elmyra's deceased horse, is named for the titular character from the 1941 children's novel My Friend Flicka by Mary O'Hara, which was adapted into a British-American family adventure drama film in 2006. Flicka's name is Swedish for "little girl."
** If you look carefully at the photo in Elmyra's photo album with the gravestones, one of them has the name "Pooh". One of Elmyra's zombie pets is a bear, and although its name is never confirmed, it is likely that the bear was named Pooh.
