----
!!"Fool's Paradise"
* AbnormalAllergy: Lana is shown to be allergic to rhubarb, which in real-life would not commonly cause reactions.
* CallBack: Lola post-skunking looks similar to [[Recap/TheLoudHouseS1E25ThePriceOfAdmissionOneFluOverTheLoudHouse Lola post-getting sick]].
* ChirpingCrickets: The motel room is filled with this sound, and it keeps Lincoln awake. He eventually discovers the sound came from a fake cricket.
* DwindlingParty: The members of the household get taken out this way due to Luan's pranks, until it's just down to Lincoln and Lynn Sr.
** Lisa gets trapped when a wall bed closes itself while she was on it.
** Luna falls through the floorboards and gets stuck in a giant gelatinous dessert.
** Leni gets launched through the air and sticks to the motel's sign by post-it notes as a neon Luan laughs at her.
** Lola gets sprayed by a skunk after entering the broom closet.
** Lana falls into a pit of rhubarb pies, which she's allergic to.
** Lori attempts to leave in the Vanzilla, only to have the airbags activate on her and ruin her eyebrows again.
** Rita gets trapped under a pile of laundry after standing under the laundry chute.
** Lucy gets drenched in bleach, turning everything on her to white, and declares that she can't go on.
** Lily gets switched out for a monkey in a diaper, which attacks Lynn as she attempts to pick up what she thought was her baby sister.
* EveryManHasHisPrice: Mr. Loud is talked into helping Luan with this year's April Fools' prank with the promise of a prank-free ''decade''. Until Lincoln asked him was the decade [[WasItReallyWorthIt worth selling out his own family]].
* EvilLaugh: Luan lets out one as she spies on the siblings in the motel, and again at the end when she is given the idea of a new prank for next year.
* {{Foreshadowing}}:
** Doesn't it seem rather ''convenient'' that Vanzilla broke down ''directly'' in front of the motel?
** Mr. Loud is the ''only one'' who doesn't scream in fear from Luan's phone call threatening more pranks at the motel.
** The motel manager has a pretty young-sounding voice, cluing us in that he's really Luan in disguise.
* {{Gasshole}}: When Lincoln asks in confusion and irritation how nobody is bothered by the cricket noise, Lynn mistakes his complaint for her farting, claiming that "those gas station burritos get me going."
* GelatinousEncasement: One of her prank motel's traps is a collapsing floor that gets Luna trapped in a giant gelatin mold.
* GotMeDoingIt: When Dad teams up with Lincoln to get back at Luan, he briefly lapses into his early habit of making up rather long operation names.
* GracefulLoser: Luan takes getting pranked well, as she feels it means she can prank them back even harder next year, ''especially'' Lynn Sr.
* HumanNotepad: Mr. Loud kept track of the prank-laden rooms on his arm.
* HumiliationConga: Mr. Loud and Lincoln manages to outsmart Luan and turn her own pranks against her. As such, she gets stuck to the motel sign, takes a pie to the face, gets flung into a bin of dirty laundry, gets launched into gelatin, has a skunk spray onto her, and gets trapped inside a inflatable hazmat suit.
* IRegretNothing: Although Luan [[LaserGuidedKarma becomes a victim of her own pranks]], she doesn't experiences any regrets nor was she deterred from plotting even more pranks for next year.
* IWillOnlySlowYouDown: Each of the family members upon getting pranked encourages the others to go on without them.
* LikeFatherLikeSon: Mr. Loud has the same problem as Lincoln when it comes to naming his operations.
* MajorInjuryUnderreaction: Lana's reaction to swelling up from her rhubarb allergy is sheer annoyance.
** Similarly, Lucy has a distinctly understated reaction to getting splashed with bleach, which in real life is a caustic chemical that can cause severe burns, and damage to the eyes, lungs and even the entire ''nervous system''. To be fair, Lucy always has understated reactions to anything, and the bleach simply turned her all white.
* ManiacMonkeys: One of them is used to replace Lily and proceeds to attack Lynn Jr.
* MeaningfulBackgroundEvent: As Mr. Loud takes a knee with Lynn and Lincoln, a fishing line comes down to replace Lily with a monkey.
* TheMole: It turns out Mr. Loud helped Luan with her April Fools' plan in exchange for a prank-free decade after Lincoln reads his arm and saw that it had all the places where everyone got pranked.
* MurphysBed: Luan's prank on Lisa involved a motel bed folding into the wall with her on it.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Mr. Loud has this reaction when Lincoln calls him out for assisting Luan in her plan and selling out his family just to avoid getting pranked. He has this reaction ''again'' when he realizes that his revenge prank on Luan just made her more determined to prank the family even harder next year.
* NothingIsScarier: Before he and Lincoln hides in the closet, Mr. Loud says "the roof is next". Think about that for a minute...
* OhCrap: The entire family when they realize that the entire plot was all an epic prank masterminded by Luan.
* OpenSaysMe: Lana breaks open the door of room 1A rather than use the key, in case the door is boobytrapped. Unfortunately for her, the ''door'' wasn't...it was the room itself via a pit in the floor that she goes flying down due to her momentum.
* OverlyNervousFlopSweat: Mr. Loud starts sweating profusely when Lincoln questions what he meant by the roof being next and why he looked at his arm before saying that.
* PlotAllergy: Lana gets pranked by falling onto a floor of rhubarb pies, which she is allergic to.
* PlotDrivenBreakdown: Vanzilla breaks down while the family is driving home from dropping Luan off at her camp and Lana doesn't have her tools on her, prompting them to stay at a motel. But then it turns out it didn't really break down, as the whole thing was part of Luan's master plan (both the breakdown and the missing tools).
* PrayerPose: Lana does it when she says a quick prayer for her animals back home before going to sleep. On a side note, this is the first time religion has ever been openly shown in the show.
* PyrrhicVictory: The rest of the family finally gets even with Luan and celebrate their victory, until she says this means she can stop going easy on them and vows to up the ante next year (especially against her father for double crossing her).
* SarcasticClapping: Due to being in an inflatable suit, Luan vocalizes it as [[SayingSoundEffectsOutLoud "Clap, clap, clap."]]
* SequelEpisode: To "[[Recap/TheLoudHouseS1E18AprilFoolsRulesCerealOffender April Fools Rules]]".
* SequelHook: Luan threatens to stop going easy on her family next April Fools' Day, even directly singling out Mr. Loud as a target for being TheMole.
* ShoutOut: Several elements of Luan's plan resemble those from the ''Franchise/{{Saw}}'' films.
* SlasherSmile: Luan has her moments, particularly during the flashback when she surprises Mr. Loud in the rearview window.
* SmellySkunk: Luan's prank on Lola involves trapping her with a skunk that sprays on her. This happens to Luan herself near the end.
* SpitTake: Lynn Sr does this after Luan pointed out that the event at Funny Farm's Clown Camp is on April Fools weekend.
* StaggeredZoom: The camera cuts [[EatTheCamera into Luan's mouth]] as she laughs evilly while watching her plan in action.
* SuddenDownerEnding: The family succeeds at pranking Luan, only for her to reveal she has the idea of a new prank for next year and laughs evilly.
* TearsOfRemorse: Lynn Sr. begins sobbing in front of Lincoln when he confesses to have collaborated with Luan.
* ThrowTheDogABone: After getting hit by almost all of Luan's pranks in "[[Recap/TheLoudHouseS1E18AprilFoolsRulesCerealOffender April Fools Rules]]", this episode has Lincoln being the only one of the Loud siblings who remains unpranked (mainly because he discovered that Mr. Loud was working with Luan and got him to turn on her).
* UndersideRide: Luan rides under Vanzilla as to follow the Louds to the motel to extract her plan.
* WasItReallyWorthIt: Lincoln asks his father if getting spared by Luan was worth letting his family suffer through her pranks. He tearfully admits it wasn't.
* WhatTheHellHero: Lincoln [[CallingTheOldManOut chews his father out]] for selling out his family just so he wouldn't get pranked by Luan.
--> '''Lincoln:''' Dad, how could you sell out your own family like that?!
--> '''Lynn Sr:''' Luan promised me a prank-free decade. A ''decade'', son!
--> '''Lincoln:''' [[WasItReallyWorthIt I hope it was worth it.]]

!!"Job Insecurity"
* BirthdayPartyGoesWrong: Referenced by Lynn Jr., who laments that, because of their reckless behavior, she and her siblings are responsible for ruining their father's 40th birthday party.
* BlatantLies: Lisa denies having put tracking chips in her siblings. However, it's clear that she did just that.
* CareerNotTaken: Lynn Sr. starts off as an IT man, but here it's revealed that he always wanted to be a chef instead, and he changes jobs and becomes a dish washer at a restaurant.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint:
** When Lincoln informs his sisters about an advertisement for a computer expert needed for an internet startup, Leni wonders why since somebody already started the internet.
** When Lincoln suggests they should go to the job interview in their dad’s place, Lisa interprets this as that Lincoln wants to clone him.
* ContinuityNod:
** The bald cap used for the Mr. Loud disguise was previously used in "Suite and Sour".
** The Loud siblings causing mayhem at their father's workplace was previously seen in "A Novel Idea" when the sisters did this during Take Your Daughter to Work Day.
** Mr. Loud's boss in his new job is one of the members of [[Recap/TheLoudHouseS2E5MakingTheGradeVantasticVoyage the former Royal Woods Mini Van Society]].
* DiegeticSoundtrackUsage: While washing dishes, Mr. Loud hums the show's theme song.
* FightForTheLastBite: The last scene of the Loud kids are of them about to fight for the breakfast sandwich Sergei left behind.
* FoodAsBribe: Mr. Grouse agrees to help the Louds in return for two trays of Mr. Loud's lasagna.
* FunnyBackgroundEvent: While the kids are brainstorming new jobs for Lynn Sr., Luna can be seen banging her head against the wall. After the third idea, she is shown to be dizzy.
* {{Hypocrite}}: When Leni leaves her sandwich in Vanzilla to take her dad's computer to him, the other siblings immediately try to grab it. Lori stops them and calls them out for this. She's later seen eating it herself.
* LiteralMinded: Before learning to use a computer, Mr. Grouse takes computer lingo literally:
-->'''Lisa:''' Now you need to empty the trash on your computer.
-->'''Mr. Grouse:''' Eh, whatever you say.
-->(Mr. Grouse dumps a pile of garbage onto the laptop)
-->'''Lisa:''' Yeah, I walked right into that one.
** In the final scene, he gets asked to log out of the computer, so he beats it with an actual log.
* MatryoshkaObject: Lincoln and Mr. Loud are seen as matryoshkas in the title card.
* NoodleIncident: The Loud siblings apparently ruined Mr. Loud's 40th birthday, and his college reunion, and his roller skate competition, and his colonoscopy.
* NothingIsTheSameAnymore: A minor one, but Mr. Loud has a new job as the co-chef at the Aloha Comrade restaurant.
* OhCrap: The siblings are horrified to find out their Dad hasn't worked in three weeks; when they see he's a dishwasher at the Aloha Comrade restaurant, they are devastated and set out to find him a better-paying job....[[RuleOfThree only to find out that it was simply him working his way up to the role of head chef, a job he wants]].
* OhNoNotAgain: When the kids find out that efforts to get their father a new job were all for nothing, Lisa laments "It's [[NoodleIncident the colonoscopy]] all over again."
* SupremeChef: Mr. Loud wins over the entire dining room with his cooking, and with the help of his children he not only is hosting a full house, but is quickly promoted to co-chef.
* SoundEffectBleep: Lola gets her father fired by yelling to his boss over the phone; the last part of her rant is drowned out by Leni's hairdryer.
* TerribleIntervieweesMontage: The siblings are deciding who should play Lynn Sr. at his job interview. Lori goes first and gets distracted by a phone call from Bobby. Lincoln goes next saying he's responsible and mature, and complains about the suit making him uncomfortable and strips down to his underwear, socks, and the Lynn Sr. wig. Finally, Luan comes in and electrocutes Lucy with a joy buzzer. At this point, Lana decides none of them can make a successful impersonation.
* ThoroughlyMistakenIdentity: When Leni finds another man at her dad’s former desk, she thinks that he had plastic surgery.
* TrackingDevice: Lisa put tracking chips inside every member of her family and Mr. Grouse.
* TrainingMontage: The Loud kids train Mr. Grouse to use a computer.
